I am a Christian, and according to my beliefs, I'm sorry to say, you are going to hell. I believe that Jesus Christ came to save us all and it is only thtough Him that we may be saved from eternal damnation. I could spend time, trying to convince you; to make you believe in my religion, but I know that we were given free will, so it's up to you to decide. If you choose not to believe in God, that's your decision and I will jot judge you for it. But if you ask me,we all need a personal god, one that is just and merciful and good.

I believe that, if anybody has tried to find the truth with sincerity, even handedness and without any prejudice and is good in nature, spirit and with everybody around has very good chance to enter the heaven. this person has more chance and deserves more to enter heaven than any jew, christian or muslim who believed just because it was their parents religion and didn't try himself to find truth. My view of GOD suggests that HE is just with all HIS creation and HE won't put somebody in heaven just because his/her parents were believers and won't put somebody in hell just because the parents or circumstances didn't let them believe in HIM, because we don't have choice about, to which parents we are born. we will be judged by our efforts and actions in which we have choice and not by something we don't have choice about. in my humble opinion!

Since I believe that main G-d in all religions is the same being, I believe that everyone can go to heaven, or reach nirvana.Pets and other animals should be able to go too. Atheiests that are good people should go to heaven. They just don't believe, that doesn't automantic damn them to hell in my book.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I don't agree with your last comment. Muhammad was not a father. Allah is not a father. I don't know what you mean by nirvana. I don't know if animals go to heaven or not. Yes, atheists are automatically damned to hell if they die without asking Jesus Christ into their hearts.

Believing Jesus is the way to heaven. If you believe Him, then your faith will lead you to be acceptable to heaven and to God. Those atheists or non-believers or did not know Jesus will be judge by God according to their heart/conscience-- it is God's justice will put them either in heaven or hell. Animals are not subject to God's judgement because they have no spirit.

ReyM21 animals are living beings that means they do have spirits. Fightingistheonlyway, why does G-d have to be omnipotent? Why can't he, like most parents, have favorites?

jesus was a normal man who knew how to make his name be written in stone forever god cannot judge because that means god likes/dislikes which means god has feelings witch means god is imperfect which means he is not omnipotent ajmccrary why do you need someone to back up what you said? weak..

You see, gods (Jesus, Allah, Zeus, Thor, etc.) are attention-hungry beings, and if you don't give enough attention to them then they'd be very happy to be getting back at us by chucking us to the flame, just like logs to the fireplace. No, god doesn't care about non-believers, he just knows we deserve to be punished for not believing in things which cannot be seen and/or proved/unproved. Atheist wouldn't have the slightest chance to get a ticket to heaven unless of course, he changes his/her beliefs; It doesn't matter if you invented the cure for AIDS, or CANCER - if you don't give credit to god or believe in him, you still don't get the good afterlife stuff. So if you want to gain entrance to heaven: 'whenever you get home from work you should say something like: Jesus guided me home, Praise be to him (and then get into a trance).'

Actually, you are right and I agree. The bible says that we should pray to god every now and then to be able to go to heaven, but what will happen if we don't? Of course there's no way to go to but down, to the burning pits of hell, so how does that make us better persons? Does the bible author(s) expects us to be scared into it.. I don't think that's necessary. God is an imaginary friend who most people turn to when they are in need, some find them in prison, some find them when they feel the need to look good. If god is real THEN hey god! thanks for all the wars, neutron bombs, suffering, etc... The bottom line is - When God created us, He also made suffering possible; so much for an all-loving god. P.S. No need to guide me home, I'm not blind.

I don't believe in an eternal Hell or eternal Heaven. I believe everyone has to go through both hell and heaven. As you sow, you reap. I can justly say that 99% of the time, all people are both good and bad. I will reap the good effects of the good things I have done as much as I will have to suffer for the sins I have committed. I don't believe that you don't suffer when you ask to be pardoned. Rather, I firmly believe that when I am really sorry for something I have done and I repent for it, I will generally be in the mindset of getting punished for what I deserve to be punished. That will wash away my sin. If I truly repent, God will definitely give me the strength to endure the punishment too. And I believe that none of us is perfect in this world. Eternal damnation means that God is not merciful, God is not love. God gives us millions of chances to correct ourselves. I believe in the concept of karma. I also believe that you cannot be in Heaven for eternity. Heaven is a place where you can reap the fruits of good deeds you have done. After that, you have to come back again. Similar is the case with hell. This goes on until you get mature enough to transcend over Heaven and Hell and rest in the everlasting bliss that is one's true nature.

who told you that I don't believe in conventional organised religion? I believe in the oldest conventional religion called Sanatana Dharma. And we believe that Heaven and Hell are not the places we stay for ever. Those are just places to reap the fruits of our actions either good or bad. We keep taking birth here in this world until we get to know the basis of everything.. 'I'. Once you understand the true nature of the self, you don't come back. You rest in eternal peace and bliss. That is was I believe in. And mind you, this hasn't been shoved through my throat. I love the logical way it has been explained and I have seen practical people who have attained this state. So, I don't have any doubts about its existence.

Atheists do not believe in God and therefore they will not go to heaven to live with God forever. But while they are still alive on earth and they turn to God and obey God, then they will go to heaven to live with God forever. Animals will not go to heaven because animals do not have psyches or soul and God did not appoint that animals may go to heaven. All unbelievers will not go to heaven. If you want to go to heaven, obey God - follow the doctrines or teachings of the Christian religion laid out in the Holy Bible - that's the only way to be able to go to heaven.

I'm a bit late on this discussion, but I feel a need to respond anyway. I am one of the few Christians who do believe that ALL good people go to heaven. all non human animals go to heaven for they have no conscience and have no right and wrong, they only do what is necessary for survival. I believe that when jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and...etc," he was indicating that he was the gatekeeper. jesus spent his short life trying to teach human beings how to be good people and how to treat one another. He sought to educate humankind on enlightenment as we live on earth; not on a promise of everlasting life. If we as human beings do right and treat one another as we want to be treated, we are bound for heaven, no matter our spiritual path.

What made you think I was athiest? Becuase I have an open mind. LOL In truth I must admit that i was raised by a preacher father in a communal house by the ocean. My father began his spiritual path as a rabbi and then converted to christianity. But due to the fact that I come from Hippie stock, I do tend to see the common sense side of Christianity more than most. I could not worship a God who would allow a good man to face eternal damnation. Common sense.

I believe that we share a kinship with all life on this planet. Christianity does not have a monopoly on heaven, other religions have there own concept of heaven. If you accept the idea of a creator then that creator created all life then all, plant and animal life, will go to heaven.

It is clearly stated in the Bible that one will not enter the kingdom of God without beleiving in Jesus Christ the only son of God. Jesus said "I am the way and I am the life. Those who believe in me will not die." Without believing in Jesus Christ as the son of God and that he has sacrificed his life for the salvation of mankind no one will enter the Kingdom. Others will be put into the eternal drainage. One lives a great life. he performs several acts of charity, he was always faithfull to others. These are all good things, great exactly. But these are all zeroes. If these zeroes shoud acquire a value some number, say one, should be placed on the left side of them. Belief in Jesus is that 'one'. Once you believe in Jesus and accepts him as your Lord all your good doings turns worthy. Otherwise they are all meaningless. Jesus said "My sheep hears my words."

I hope you will not argue that all godless people are good. Either believer or non believer Some people are good, some are evil. That doesn't imply that evil people always do evil things. What's the meaning in answering your question about the reaction of believers, if non existance of God is established with evidence. Do you ever believe in such a situation? How can some body prove that there is no god.

Adolph Hitler is an atheist I believe (maybe not? Who cares anyway) and, I don't think he's a good person. What I am referring to here is your regular atheist, not the more eccentric ones that go out there and torture the world. Yes, you are right about there are evil people in any religion, and in any corner of the world, even in the holy city of Vatican, even the modern atheist. But do we really need to read the bible and believe in god to do good things? Isn't common sense enough to justify the fact that love and cooperation is the only 'way.'? The fact of the matter is: people are more willing to do good and help others because they are expecting to get to heaven? AND what if someday (let us just keep an open mind for possibilities and imagine) that if God is proven not to exist, would all the devout religious people be better humans than they are now? I don't think so.. Here is a valid analogy for you, Kids are made to believe in 'Saint Nicholas' so parents can easily pacify them by telling of all the 'good toys and candies' they can receive if they do good - The promise of 'reward' helped parents to 'control' their kids; Didn't these kids feel betrayed when they learned the truth about Santa Claus? Perhaps yes, perhaps no but Have it ever occurred to you once that God is just another imaginary friend so others can control you? If God is real then, How can he allow vicious people to make so much money using his name? and at the same time judge these people to hell merely because they believed in Thor or someone else.

Religious people believe in such places in the afterlife. They believe that if they do good things, they will be 'rewarded' with this and that when they pass away. But what if, we discovered the truth, lets just say - what if we discovered that god is non-existent?, would that make any difference? Would these so-called religious people turn in into bad things? No one can tell though. Atheists are the only altruistic people in this world, because atheist can do good things and help his fellow WITHOUT expecting anything in return, especially from God. Atheists do not expect to go to heaven and live in bliss BUT he is still doing things for the better. He doesn't have the need to believe in god to do good stuff unlike some religious people who CLAIMS to derive their inspiration from the bible and from God, But what if god does not exist huh? what will they think? I don't think they'll ever submit to that fact even if provided with sufficient evidence (in the far future) because "A man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still."

This is a good question. I think we've established that some of the things in the Bible are not necessarily "gospel." That said, it gets difficult to know what God is REALLY like, and what His standards are. If we go by the New Testament, Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." I am of the understanding that God is a forgiving God. When Jesus was crucified, two thieves were crucified as well. One of them mocked Jesus, but the other believed. He looked at Jesus and said, "Remember me when you get into your Father's kingdom." Jesus said to him, "Believe me I tell you today, you will be with me in paradise." Jesus also said that the two greatest commandments are to "love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your mind, and with all your spirit; and love your neighbor as yourself." An easy way to say this is, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Then there's the Apostle Paul. He persecuted believers before being blinded. Then he had a vision of the risen Christ, his vision was restored, and he became one of the foremost advocates for God. You could too, who knows? If you continue to spread your atheist views until the day you die, it is unlikely you will enter the gates of Saint Peter. Whether the story of Adam and Eve is true, the moral of the story is that man has wanted to be his own God from the beginning. Another way to look at it, whether this view is right or wrong, would be this: If there is no God, you have nothing to worry about, one way or another. If there IS a God, the atheists and blasphemers will probably be in a lot of trouble. As far as animals go, I couldn't say.

The Bible does say we are supposed to fear the LORD. And there's no reason to get defensive; you asked a question, and I gave you the best answer I could give you. BTW, "hell" translates to "hades," or "sheol." It means "grave." Renemer when Jonah was swallowed by the fish? He said, "Out of the belly of hell I cried." The Biblical lake of unqhenchable fire, into which the wicked are cast, is called Gehenna.

Ananius' house - The house of Saint Ananius in Damascus
Oh yeah, I forgot...Saint Paul. Are you not familiar with the story? Paul, originally Saul, did not know Jesus in life. Notice that I said, he had a vision of the "risen" Christ, after being blinded by a flash of light on the Road to Damascus. He heard a voice say, "Saul, Saul why are you persecuting me?" His vision was restored to him by St. Ananius. I have attached a picture of the house of Ananius in Damascus.

You don't have to believe in Jesus. The Jews did not accept Jesus as a messiah because he did not meet the requirements to be the Saviour. So if you don't accept him, you don't. It is said, animals can go to heaven if they have a human soul. They are called a Gilgul.

This is why I am counting on not going to heaven. You are giving me a choice of spending eternity with a the people who populate most of this thread or eternity with people like Einstein, Lincoln and Jefferson. Is there really any choice? Even if any of this were true, I would still have to reject a god who makes such arbitrary and petty decisions. It just doesn't fit any vision that I can conjure of what a supreme being would be like.

Non-believers will not go to heaven. Why should God take them to heaven? There would be war if the believers and unbelievers would mix. We need to believe in God and in Jesus in order to be saved. Animals will not go to heaven. They have no souls to be saved and the law of God is not applicable to animals.

Sir or Ma'am, I truly don't know if animals go to heaven. I certainly hope they do. If you want the truth, the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ. Atheists don't believe there is a God unless they actually read God's Word for themselves. I've heard stories about that happening. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me." Jesus is the only way to God and to heaven, friend.

Nobody...Nobody...Nobody who has not accepted Jesus Christ as Savior will get into Heaven. It doesn't matter how good you are. You need to ask Jesus to save your soul and mean it. You have to believe it with all your heart and soul. As for animals. The Bible says there will be animals in Heaven, but...Not animals from this earth. Animals don't have a soul. That is exclusive to the human being. That is what makes us different from the rest of the living creatures on this planet.

As for the atheists. Josh McDowell was a HUGE atheist. He set out to prove Christianity was false. He spent years researching and studying and trying to prove it wrong. But in the end, he could not. He ended up getting saved and is today a great Christian author.

Well, in the Bible, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth and the light and none comes to the Father except by Me.". So, if that's true, then no non-believers cannot get into heaven. If that statement is NOT true, well you have to throw out the rest of the Bible, because you can't trust any of it. Scripture says you have to believe in Jesus to get salvation and into heaven.
