Guys, help me out here. maybe im over-reacting but i am absolutely livid!!!!!! Today i was in my garden hanging out my washing, and as usual i let my cat Joopsy out into the garden. She loves to run around the garden but today she was more excited than usual and she jumped onto the fence i share with a neighbour. To my horror, disgust and outrage i heard a stream of abuse gushing towards my poor Joopsy!! I wouldnt want to repeat the words on mylot but its safe to say "C U Next Tuesday" was amongst the barrage of abuse. I instantly called a slightly shaken Joopsy indoors and called the Police. The Police were not interested as it's "Just a cat". I couldnt believe the police would not take this seriously! Imagine he had shouted like that at my child? Let me know your thoughts on this cause im worried im over reacting here!! Thanks

Hmmmmm, yes - calling the police IS overreacting just a bit but I'm assuming you didn't really call the police and this is all a little tongue in cheek! (Please tell me you didn't REALLY call them??) I've always had at least one cat and they have all been really good at annoying neighbours I have to say! It's like they can sense who the "cat-haters" and fanatical gardeners are and then they go out of their way to annoy them as much as possible. If the neighbours just shouted at them I didn't mind but if they tried to hit them or throw stuff at them that was a different matter.

So you really did? Oh my goodness! Actually I think that's quite cool but very optimistic. I mean it's hard enough getting the police to actually do anything when a person is involved ...

Some people do act like that to children as well - I think the police don't do much about them either (they are too busy chasing speeding motorists). As long as you always offer to scoop up Joopsy's poop you should have no problem with the neighbour. Perhaps you could borrow alfie's (?) cheese-eating mouse, infest the neighbour's house then get Joopsy to save the day by catching the mouse and solving both problems! Sounds like a plan.
