Today as i was browsing the internet i came through this weird news. A mother had her forehead tattooed with the web address of a gambling site after auctioning off advertising space on her head to pay for her son's school fees. This is what she says "I only live once and I'm doing it for my son. It's a small sacrifice to build a better future for my son."
What do you say about this, i mean would you ever do such kind of crazy things. i have a tattoo on my arm and now i regret it too. Would you ever do it if you were asked to do? Anyway she was paid $10,000

I have a tatoo, but it is in a discreet place on my body, not my forehead. I would have to say that once the company on her forehead goes out of business, her tatoo is still there. It might seem like a lot of money now, but in the long run $10000 isn't so much.

I am never sold to the idea of having any tattoo at all on any part of my skin. However, for this woman, I could say that at least, she has a good reason for having one. I just hope that the time when will never come when she will regret having had that one.

i have a few tattoos but I would never put one on my forehead like this especially for only 10,000 that is so stupid It would cost more to get it removed She must have really needed the money

I have to say I think she's out of her mind LOL.
I don't have any personal issues with tattoos, except that I'm terrified of the needles lol, and my partner has one on the top of his arm.
I think that this lady however, has gone a step too far. It's ridiculous what some people resort to, and while I understand her reasoning behind it, I'm sure there had to be another way.
She has to walk around with that plastered to her forehead for the rest of her life, and I'm not sure I could do that. In fact, I know I couldn't.

Fortunately, I do not have any tattoos on my body and never plan on having one, other than the wash off tattoos. If I did have a tattoo, I would not put one on my forehead or put some gambling site on my head or other body part. That was nice of her to think about her son though and wanting to pay his school fees. She is a very thoughtful and loving mother. She certainly got paid a nice amount but I still would stay away from the tattoo.

That is definitely weird. I would never do anything like that. Especially not for 10 thousand dollars. It would have to be much more than that for me to even consider it. Guess she was doing it for the right reason but still it would be a difficult decision to make.

OUCH!! That had to have hurt. I can understand her reasons for doing it and she has it in a location that can be easily covered with her hair. I have a whole bunch of tattoos and don't regret a single one of them. Don't know if I would get one on my forehead though, I'm not blessed with enought hair to cover it...LOL

Yikes, I probably wouldn't. If she was that tight for money, I guess it's her choice and you do what you have to. Although, I'm a little suspicious about the school fee thing - aren't there loans and bursaries you can apply for if you need financial assistance? Where I am, you can get money from the government and/or the university to help pay tuition. Wouldn't a tattoo on her forehead would really hurt her chances of getting a job?

Sure I would do it, if there were several more zeros after the 1! It wouldn't be worth it for just $10,000. That is not enough to change her life or her son's life. Just enough to make her a laughing stock and embarrass her son for the rest of his life.

I would rather do something else, that is pathetic what she has done! I think that these people may say they want it for their son or daughter or pet chinchilla but really they just want to be recognised by people and pull pathetic stunts! Im sorry but you can make that money if you work hard, i mean there are jobs out there that pay well and can be enjoyable if you make it like that so why for the love of pancakes doesnt she do that? Ill tell you why because she wants to get recognised as the "woman who had her forhead tatooed" im sorry but really i think those people are a waste of space and our time.
Sorry i may seem kind of harsh about it but it does peeve me off

No I wouldnt...thats just stupid IMO....Getting inked for and with somehting like that and on that area of the body is IMO absolutely idiotic....AND it was for only $10,000! thats not even enough to cover the pain of having it done, the embarrassment of having it there and then the pain of having it lasered off AND the scarring lasering would leave...I'm sorry but $10G's isnt even enough to get me to consider it...

people do foolish things out of desperation so you can never blame anyone for doing what they have to do. we can never judge them but we can always pray for them.

That is really strange. No I wouldn't do something crazy like that. I would find something else to do to pay for my kids school. I do have a tattoo but it is on my ankle and I don't regret it. Yet anyway. I like it.

this is just another ridiculous things folks do I hate tatoo i think they make one look so cheap and would never have one myself mostly due to the fact that the Christian religion forbids it !
(Lev.19:28. "`Do not cut your bodies or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD. )

The whole thing was an obvious media hype setup. Whether the mother had to pay school fees or not, is probably not even relevant now, as I am sure that she has some other financial offers coming in now. She made a big name for herself, whether it be pathetic or heroic is each persons opinion, by getting a tattoo across her forhead of a company that she knows nothing about. Clearly the woman is desperate for attention, and money, and will do almost anything to get it. People that have that combination tend to attract the media like flies to honey.
No one could ever pay me enough to put something on myself for life that did not have significant meaning to me. I don't see how someone could do that for so little money anyways.
