How do you make your cupcakes?

I always make mine out of the box. I'm not a very good cook.

My wife love to make cupcakes from the assistance of the Pillsbury boxes.It is easier to have these ready made recipes because we all have to do is just follow the indicated simple instructions.

i usually make them out of the box because its just quicker and easier. but i have successfully baked a cake from scratch a few times.

INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup boiling water 1/4 cup shortening or butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon soda 1 egg, beaten 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract PREPARATION: In a mixing bowl, combine boiling water, shortening, sugar, and cocoa. Beat until sugar is dissolved. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the beaten egg, sour cream, and vanilla. Fill greased and lightly floured cupcake cups about half full. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting, homemade or purchased. Makes about 12 to 18 medium cupcakes or about 9 to 10 large cupcakes.

I make them from the box. I love most all cake so I try to focus on the decoration of the cupcakes to make them special.

I usually make mine from scratch, but I can understand your problem. My mom also used to make them out of a box, and eventually I took over the responsibility. As I love baking it wasn't much of an issue for me.
