Career ... It's a decision that we make. Sometimes people follow their passion. Others though are practical and practice a career for their financial well being. So, are you happy with your career? If given a choice, what is the ideal career for you?

I don't have a career. I have a job. I don't like it. I am only there for the pay cheque and I am finding that I need to drag myself there evertday and it is getting harder. sigh...
I would love to be: a stay at home mom/house wife...
a genetic engineer
or a writer of fiction
or a farmer, yes you read properly, a cattle farmer.... Those would be my dream jobs

Hi PunkMcPunk. Yeah, its so hard to wake up in the morning and realizing that you have to go to a job that you really don't care of ... you just need it. I hope that you can get a job is leaning on a career like the ones that you have mentioned.

Yes. I am very much happy with my career. I guess this is the company that has a very light and happy working environment. (DUTY FREE PHILIPPINES)
What is very challenging in my career is that I am Communication Arts graduate but they accepted me in an INTERNAL AUDIT DIVISION. Though I am just an Audit Assistant, I find this place interesting and lots of opportunities and room for improvement. The benefits are good. We have 13-16th month pay and a monthly corporate incentive and allowance on top of our monthly salary. We have also medical insurances and life insurances.
But of course, since my childhood dream is becoming a television reporter, I would work for this. I would study, enroll in a personaltiy development a school and join tv workshops.

I am very happy with my career but my only complaint is my salary as I feel that teachers should be paid more than they are now. I enjoy being an instructor and working with adults with disabilities and help them be successful. I may have to look for a better paying job eventually since the cost of living keeps going up. My other choice for a career would be something in computers like an IT person or webpage designer or something similar.

I am happy as a writer, but I'd be even happier if my books were selling more. Some day, they will. the more people know about my writing, the more books they will buy. I guess it just takes time. But I've got one out so far, another one on the way, things can only get better. I've already sold 100 copies of my cookbook.

I'm in a career right now that I never thought to find myself in. Everyone hates what I represent, and it means more money going out that most really don't have. I'm a bill collector, and I've dealt with them most of my adult life. It's funny how I landed the job, and started doing really well in it, with how nice of a person I am. Anyway, what I'd really love to be doing is something where I'm helping people in a hands-on way, not telling them they need to pay up. I'd much rather be working in a lab somewhere, drawing blood and testing it for diseases and things like that. I want to work with people that way, not on the phone without any face-to-face interaction.

hi xlilkttiebanix. being a collector has always been branded as an unpopular job since ancient times .. remember Zacharias or was it Zacheus in the bible. but i guess somebody has to do the job ... and people like you are heroes for your company.
