who knows FTP?

Ftp is a method utilized primarily for transferring files over TCP/IP. FTP provides a more stable and efficient environment for file transfers than HTTP

There seems to be a point missed here...An FTP client needs to connect to an FTP server.... not another client. So, you'd need to upload your files (using FTP) to a host somewhere, so that the other person can then download them, the same way. Here's a tip... check out ICQ, the IM package... it can handle very large file transfers, if you have a little patience and a stable connection. I've moved files larger than 100MB before now, quite successfully. It took a few hours but you can always leave it running overnight if you have to. For smaller files, Yahoo IM works quite well

I know a little about it as File Transfer Protocol anyway while designing sites its very important as it is used to transfer the files from the desktops to the sites that we are hosting.
