would you ever consider having it done, hypothetically if you would have an area worked on what would it be? I would most probably have liposuction but I really doubt that I would ever do it, now if it was just cosmetic changes, I don't believe in it, but some people want to change their nose, or their breast, or the checkbones, what would you do, if you could, and do you really believe it is helpful for self esteem issues? How about health issues?

Well, let's see, I used to have double D cups, now I'm a B... but the doctors did say it was medically necessary & the insurance paid for it.

Yes and you did a smart move there. You could have got nasty back problems. I knew someone else who had the same surgery and made a big difference to her health.

In my own opinion, i think these physical surgeries that will magically change your image will boost self-esteem and confidence. But if you try to consider the future, i think you won't ever consider having your nose retouched or reshaped. All these surgeries have i guess have health issues in the future. You will be able to enjoy these magnificent changes in 5 years or so, but later on you will suffer for its consequences.

Oh no, I can't even to consider having plastic surgery is allready scary. And I had three major surgery before for a health condition and giving birth. And I don't want to be under the knife again. And to add, probable complications. I'm too scared now. So even for the name of beauty, never mind. Because for me, the inside apperance is better than the outside. (^^,) When I finished to arrange my blog, I'll Pm you so you can take a view of it and tell me if it looks right. Have a nice day Winterose! (^^,)

Nah, i'm a chicken and I think it would be far too painful and the recovery would be pretty tough for any of the plastic surgeries. I cant even imagine lipo though, that seems like it would be the most painful to me for some reason!

Plastic surgery is a special type of surgery that can involve both a person's appearance and ability to function. Plastic surgeons strive to improve patients' appearance and self-image through both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures. Some people turn to plastic surgery to correct a physical defect or to alter a part of the body that makes them feel uncomfortable. So i think the technology is here to stay for long bcoz i think as everyone wants to look better.

If I could afford it all I would have my boobs lifted, a skin peel, veneers on my teeth and possibly a tummy tuck although I've heard they're pretty painful afterwards and I'm not good with pain! Generally I'm happy enough with the way I look at the moment but there's always room for improvement - especially as I get older! I think it can be helpful for self-esteem issues IF you are realistic about it all. I lost loads of weight years ago and it did improve my self-confidence a lot but a change in your physical appearance is not necessarily a magic cure-all. I had always imagined I would be a completely different person if I was thinner but inside I was just the same - I still had insecurities and obsessed about things. I just transferred them from my weight to other issues. As for the health issues I think if people do their research carefully and weigh up the possible risks against the potential gains and still think it's worth it then I say go for it!

If I had the money I may get something done when I'm older. I wouldn't mind getting a facelift, but I wouldn't want it too tight, just to get rid of any droopy skin I might have.

I believe that beauty contributes on our self esteem but for me I wouldn't go that far just to have that little increase of self esteem. But if I have to I think I will let my stomach done with liposuction.

Yes, I would have plastic surgery. I always joke around with my friends that I'm not going to grow old gracefully, I'll just have facelifts until my ears meet. LOL! I wouldn't go that far of course. I would like to have some done on a fewareas but I don't want to go into what they are. Let's just say I'd like to give an area a little lift.

Honey,I am what I am ..I would not have it at all..This is how I was made and I show what life has dished out..My wrinkles have been earned, bought and paid for. I know who I am on the inside and that is the place where the surgery won't touch..I'll stay the way I am ...

If I had the luxury and courage to have something done then most likely I would want a liposuction or a tummy tuck. I think people with such low self-esteem really need it. They believe that, that is the only way to get their confidence. It's funny, people would go to such lenghts just for beauty. Beauty is within all of us. It just takes a little digging for you to find it. It such a pity. People don't believe in their own beauty so they go to a cosmetic surgeon to fabric beauty for them.

I myself have asked myself these questions on platic surgery and yet I do want to get it still - I want to look a certain way - I do not think it is wrong either - I also do not think it will make me happier since I am already happy with myself - this is just something I want - a need to do so I guess you could say- it is not for self confidence issues it is more of I guess one could say - a self centered act since most people who just want and not need to think it makes one happier.

I am quite content with my face, thank you very much... I doubt I'll do it. Maybe it will be helpful to them, I don't know, I have no right to judge them. But I really think faces are just masks and bodies are just costumes, it is not who we really are. Once you found people who can see the real you, I guess it wouldn't matter.

i would also go for liposuction. but after taht also if you do not change your food habits it will same that is you start accumulating fat again. for that what you should do is to change ur life style for that . with the change of the life style i think that liposuction would really make some changes in body

I would never have plastic surgery. I am perfectly satisfied with the body that Heavenly Father gave me. I must admit that I do color my hair though. So I must not be as secure as I think I am.

Oh my friend, I don't think I'm qualified to have liposuction. At 5'6 and weigh 102 lbs, there's nothing for the doctor to suck out anything from me, LOL! In all honesty, I'm very content with the way I look. I can go for a month visit for some nice facial treatment. But that's how far I'm willing to pay. I do like to have a perfect set of teeth. About a few months ago, I was even considering tooth implant. But my goodness, a tooth alone cost an arm and a leg. :)

I suppose it would boost the self esteem issues but then so would a major weight loss for me, but to have surgery just so I look better ? no not for me. I'm me and I'm OK with that. I'd rather get rid of some facial hair.

Giving a face lift is needed only when it is absolutely necessary, so that expensive surgery can be avoided.
