Which situation would you rather be in, outside surrounded by lots of people or socializing with your friends, (extrovert) or do you prefer to be alone in your own company (being on the computer talking with your friends or mylot doesn't count - you are by yourself) may watching tv, in the library reading a book, researching on the net but not corresponding with anyone.(introvert) please tell me which you are and what do you like to do as an introvert or extrovert. I am which is called borderline introvert because I love to socialize but I don't like to be in the limelight always out and about and among people.

I used to be an extrovert. I'm always surrounded by friends and spent most of my growing up period in the limelight. I was a ballet dancer for all 21 years of my life. I can easily talked with anyone and socialized freely without any qualms. However, after settling down and having my two girls, my life turned 360 degrees and I ended up being an introvert. I think most parents are undergoing this same kind of transformation. I do try to socialize but its just too impossible to do it on a regular basis. The good thing that happened to me though is that I began to write articles. I realized I have a passion for writing beside dancing.

I cant exactly say in which situation I would like to put myself whether in the extrovert category or among the introvert people. what i can say about myself is that i am an ambivert person.its in between the extrovert and the introvert thing. I like to socialize with my friends and relatives but it takes me sometime to socialize with totally strange people. after i became comfortable with strangers then they also feel at ease with me. Some moments are definitely there when i just like to be myself. at those moments i just like to read some good story books or just like to cook up something for my husband or just like to watch tv but these moments are rare. overall one can say that i m a very friendly person.

I believe I am somewhat of an extrovert, but I do enjoy my quiet time, I usually get an even balance at home since I am home alone most days and then in the evenings I am surrounded by family and outside events, but then lately I have found myself wanting to be more of introvert, not wanting to do as many activities as I usually did.

A little of both but more of an intovert. I like being alone and prefer it but don't get as much as I would like. Sometimes a couple to hang out with or family but I like quiet evenings at home mostly but sometimes still get restless and need something to do thats fun.

i am always an introvert. i don't know why i ahve developed this nature. As both my parents are extrovert. May be from my childhood itself i used to be tensed about my oerformance and all. So may be this pressure have made me introvert. I speak a little and like to hear to what other people are saying. Its my nature.

I am an introvert. Being around more than two people at a time makes me nervous. I never got the handle of small talk. So I usually just stand there trying to blend i with the background. I would prefer reading or listening to music or writing poems than to go to a party. I haven't met anyone in person here that I have anything in common with. If I get bored, I take the dogs for a long walk. I have never been abl to break out of the mold. I wouldn't even knw how to start.

Hmm , I am not sure what to classify myself as I guess a bit of both depending how things are going in my life. i used to be an extrovert I liked to be out with friends and didn't like having to be home by myself. Mind you I always have enjoyed reading books so that would keep me occupied and I didn't mind being home, Now I think I am more of an introvert. I tend to prefer to be by myself . I like to spend on the computer chatting with friends and doing things on line like MyLot or Gather. When I am with people I like to connect one on one , instead of having to work the whole room . Hope I answered your question.

I match your answer to a tee. I do not like large crowds but I love to socialize with a friend or family.

I'm an introvert, way too much really but I'm finding my way out, I think the key is to find people that you may find comfortable to be with since in my particular case being surrounded with people that I don't like puts me in a bad mood

I think I am just like you, bordeline introvert. I am excited to meet new people, hang out with them and stuff. But given a "happening" party and a really good book that I just bought plus some good coffee --- i'd choose the latter. :)

I would say i am more an introvert....i do like to be surrounded by people but the problem with me is i cant start off a conversation which can be embarrassing at times. Advantage of being an introvert is that we usually mind our own businesses. But its good to be a little extrovert..otherwise it would be difficult at work place or in a party. I am trying my best to learn to be a little open. Hope i very soon try to open up and talk rather than wait for somebody else to come and talk to me. I remember when i was in college, the first impression that most of them got of me was that i was very arrogant...later on when i started talking to them and once we became good friends they told me that i was not the way they thought i was...:-)

I think I am more of an introvert. When I was younger I was more of an extrovert...but I think I changed over the years. I prefer to be alone or stay home then be around a lot of people...

If there is a thing line between introvert and extrovert, I think I'll be on that line. Even like you, I love to socialize but not on the point of being in the center of attention. There are times where I like to be in the corner and do stuff on my own or sometimes be with my friends and have some fun. I think people need to be with somebody a little bit cause this is one way of feeling the sense of belongingness.

I don't mind people but I can't stand huge crowds that just push in on me. I feel trapped and unsure and I just crash. But when I'm with a very small group of people I'm find. I like to be by myself too. So, I guess I'm mostly an introvert.

I don't know how to describe myself.I can talk to strangers pretty well and I am very comfortable talking to my friends .It's when I know someone a little and they can't be categorized as friends and still ask personal questions that I am unsure while answering them.I can have times when I might just go into my shell ,but otherwise I think I am an extrovert.

This is a difficult question for me because I am probably a little bit of both. Certainly as a teacher, I have to be somewhat of an extrovert in order to work with students and colleagues, but there are times that I am a definite introvert. I like to read and spend time on the computer or writing. I also like parties and get togethers, so I would have to say that I am both.
