I am looking for some at home remodies that will help her rid this egg. I have her in a hospital cage, I have rubbed mineral oil and petroleum jelly on her cloca, I have let her sit in a warm bath, and held her over steam.. Please let me know any other ideas you may have.. Thanks

I had an egg bound parakeet a few years back- what you've done plus a couple of drops of olive oil in her mouth (wouldn't force it, just give it to her if she'll take it) and it passed within a few hours. I agree that a vet is your best bet, but I am assuming because it's a weekend that's not an option for you. Best of luck, I hope something helps.

Take her to the vet NOW. if she is egg-bound, home remedies almost never work!
the sooner you get her to a vet the better chance she has to LIVE.
if she's been acting bound for more than an hour, she is in real trouble. dont waste time with trying "home remedies" just take her to the vet and give her an honest chance at living through it.

Thank you for your answer, but I dont think she is eggbound... I did more research her swollen abdomen is to soft to be eggbound. I am going to take her to the vet first thing in the morning.

What is your problem??? Don't be cheap. There is no bird vet around here that is open on the weekend, I have to wait until tomarrow. Like I didnt think to take her to the vet. Obviously I care about my bird and I dont want her to die.
