Why don't my sister understand?

I have a sister three years younger then me, and we were raised completelly different. She was the perfect child and I was beaten and abused. I have a lot of problems with it now, I am bipolar because of it. I hate my parents now because of how I was treated as a child. My sister knows all of this, but she chooses to ignore it, and she wonders why I have chosen to disown myself from the family. I really wish me and my sister could have a close relationship. She seems to be the only potential family that I have. She is only 17 and is just a child. She just doesn't see why I hate them so much, and that causes problems between us. Do you think that she is just young, and that when she matures a little more she will understand what I have been through. Do you think she will see why I disowned my family. Or do you think she already has her mind made up that she will never comprehend the drasticness of what happened to me? I wish she could see how terrible our parents are and just understand why I am the way I am today because of it.

i feel she needs time. Let her come to know the world, how wierd it is. Make her understand what all heppened to you in an emotional way. tell her how u also loved your parents before...and tell her to ask parent why they behaved in the way they behaved...she will surely understand you if she really feels for you..these things take time...give her more two-three years..meantime dont loose contance with her..love her tha way an elder sister loves. Gift her all pleasures& love she needs from an elder sister, make her close to you...try to understand her problems...as she is a teenager nopw there are lot of things which we can share only with our brothers and sisters..and mot with mom-dad - generation gap u see. So there are other ways by which you will naturally caom closer..once u two are close..she will begin to understand you..you way of thingking..and why u did what you did. In the meantime dont speak about your harrasment. Tell her you have only 1family member and you dont wanna loose it. Tell her why should our sisterly love suffer because of deeds of out parents?

i think your sisters is younger that is why she doesnt understand all these
give her some time....let he be a bit older
i m sure she will understand you....after all she is your sister
