Women of Yesterday & Today

In the past, whenever a man wants to marry a woman, he would be asking for the hand of the woman. Why the hand of the woman? Because if the woman's hand had been touched by a man, it was tantamount to having disgraced her. So, the man ought to marry her...because then, the women were modest and demure.
The woman of today, not all of course, engaged in free marital relationship and marriage is not necessary. Should women stay demure and modest today? or Is it advisable in this present dispensation?

Well i think not all men wants demure and modest women today though most preferred by some. For a man like, i dont want to dig the past of the woman i love. It would really doesnt matter how was her past events. Mostly, i would still that inspite of the current society's situation, there are still existence of demure and modest woman.

Women cannot stay demure and modest they must be assertive to be able to compete in a man's world. Look how many single mothers are out there trying to make a living while the ex-husbands are having fun and not contributing to child support. If men want demure and modest women now a days they will not find them. Women have changed and I know it is for the better.
