Work for me has been very demanding. Ever since i got involved with the organization i am currently in, i rarely find the time to do things i should and would like to do. My hectic sched also hindered my desire to pursue further studies. That's why I was very thankful for the advent of online courses, especially in reputable schools/universities. i immediately signed up but i soon learned online courses is not for everybody. It requires graet amount of discipline and preseverance. How has it been for you who have tried it already?

i am not enrolled in an online course but my bestfriend is and i can see how she is working and studying at the same time.
it is an advantage for her to join the open university because she can squeeze in her assignments and papers during her free time plus the fact that she doesn't need to go out anymore to attend class. but as she said, if its possible, it is still better if she could go to a normal class, inside a classroom. she finds it more stimulating to interact with real people and get responses immediately.

I'm currently taking an online course and I've found that I love how convenient it is. As a stay-at-home mom to three children, I would never have the time to go to a classroom. With the online course I can wait till my children are asleep and log on to work through the material. The course is available to me 24/7, which is awesome since I never know when or how long I'll be able to work on it.
It does require discipline on my part, but I still devote the same amount of time to the online course as I would if I were in a classroom setting.
