I have a friend who doesn't care if it cost her a lot just to make sure that she looks good and attractive. she always sees to it that the clothes she wears are in fashion. She doesn't go out if she feels she's ugly. It has also been her intention to show up to gatherings late because she wants to get everybodys attention. She feels bad when people don't notice her. SHe has been the talk of the town.People think that she's so vain and definitely lacks attention. They say that, she doesn't have to do all these stuffs because she's already pretty and attractive. People will like/love her better if she'll remain simple..I feel sorry for her, everytime I heard people saying bad about her. For me, I don't see any problem with her behavior or with her vanity as long as she finds happiness in it and she doesn't harm anyboydy.

She seems insecure about her looks despite you saying that she is very attractive anyway. Maybe other people's jealousy has contributed to her feeling insecure and it's like a vicious circle. There is really no need to feel sorry for her. She'll probably end up finding a "balance" at some point - perhaps when she finds a boyfriend who will like her for more than just her looks? Maybe you could be a good friend by sticking up for her when people say bad things about her.

sometimes people over react on taking too much or spending too much on physical appearance. they forgot that being beautiful in the inside is what counts most. there are a lot of people who gets a lot of attention even they are not that beautiful. example by being good of your God given talents can cause attention. it doesnt harm now but it will when she becomes older. you cant stop wringles... how is she going to deal with that.

vanity is an excessive pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements; a dressing table used to apply makeup, preen and coif hair. It normally is a low table similar to a desk with drawers and one or more mirrors atop. Either a chair or bench is used to sit upon. it is too much love for one's self and this can often result to something bad just like what happened to your friend. it's something like she is obsessed with how she looks and how other people will see her.Vanity is having excessive pride in your own appearance/reputation. it appears to me that vanity is something bad. remember that so much is also bad.
