Does it really help if I put my own picture as Avatar?

Hello Subha I am a new member of MyLot. What I have thought about the AVATAR is that it is a pictorial representation of our attitude & Keeping the same picture for Avatar will facilitate our friends to access us easily. What do u say?

I think avatars are good for recognizing people. I know, by your cute little baby, who you are as you are in my friends list. I know others by their avatars as well. If I see a post on a page with the corresponding avatar, I will more than likely look at the post. It may help people know who youare, and initially draw them into read your discussion, quality is what makes them keep looking for more of your posts. I know of someone that has a moving, very memorable avatar. It does not make me answer their posts, as I found that person to be quite rude. Just keep posting good discussions worth responding to, and don't worry so much about how your avatar looks.

I have doubts as to whether an avatar would seriously affect the response rate. A good avatar may serve the purpose of being noticed, but beyond that there would be little benefit. The subject matter of a discussion is far more likely to attract responses than an avatar.

I would rather think that it is still more on your topic that attracts attetion of our co-mylotters in here. Suggest to start discussions that you think inside the interest also of the huge crowd in here. Avatars would quite do coz it could also win an attention. You can also try to have lots of friends to make them answer your questions often, as you were added on their account and so they could easily hover down your discusions.

I am very much honest guy and always appreciate the truth only. So, if you ask me, I would surely say to put your own photo as I did. However, its your individual choice. Take care.

I dont know if it helps or not but mine moves and its cute. I call her Hoghoney Looking For Money. and where ever you see it that is where I am and it is me. but you do have a very cute baby there for yours.

i don't think one's own pic or some cute avatars really help one get more responses. even if they do attract ur eyes it's the content which makes one reply to them. also a braod network of good and experienced friends on mylot helps in getting more psots to one's discussion. by the way it's a cute one in ur avatar and that's perfect enough to catch others' attention:)

Yes a good and animate avatar attract more a lot of peaple to read you and to answer thats why you have to change your avatar every time to costumize your profile
