What's the meaning of the star/number/color at the top of you pic???

I just notice now that i have a number 8 star, what is that? Is that always appear if you reach a 100 post? Do I get earn from it? I just join here exactly 1 month ago. I think 80 percent of the mylot member has it. What is the highest rating?

hi! that is your mylot reputation or a star rating. whenever a mylot user reaches 100 posts, he/she gets a star rating. it indicates how mylot users rate the quality of your discussions, responses and comments. star rating is from 0 to 10, with 10 being the highest.
right now at 108 posts, you have an 8 star rating equivalent to 79/100. congratulations! :) this shows how much positive (+) ratings you received from other mylotters.
so the highest is 10 stars with 100/100 rating. :)
we earn from quality posts, and your reputation tells a lot about the quality of discussions you started, as well as responses or comments you give to others. so indirectly, yes, earnings may have a correlation with your star rating. but even if you have a high star rating and you don't participate actively, you won't earn from it.

i'm just about 5 weeks here in mylot. so i think it must be the computer unit you are using which may have some challenge or the mouse pointer... but definitely not our age in mylot. :)
btw, your reputation is increasing. it's 82/100. keep it up girl! :)

Thanks, It's a big help. I understand now what's the meaning of that. But until now I haven't know how to see my rating. they say that you just hover your mouse over the star but nothing happened after I do that. Maybe I don't do it rightly, I guess! Thanks anyway.

Well, I try it again and again but nothing happens. I'm not in the internet cafe, I'm at home. But I guess it doesn't work in people who's membership is less than 2 months. I'm just one month here maybe after another month I will see my rating.

Oh! We have the same rating. Good for us! I think the yellow color stand for 8 star. Wow, we have 8. I wish next month are star would be 10. lol

The colors vary. The star and its number are a rating system used by the marks others give to other members. The minus and plus signs are these. The number you see when you hover the mouse over the star is also a mylot genertaed rating. Mine is 97/100. Its just actually an incentive for members to make better discussions and responses. 10 STAR WITH A 100/100 IS THE TOP YOU CAN ACHEIVE HERE.Thanks and I hope this helped a little.

Well, the highest rating is a ten, but I am not quite sure how we get our ratings. I think it has something to do with how people rate our discussions and posts though:) Hope that helps a little bit.

Yeah, I thought that too. Well, we should thank the people who rate are discussion. Me, I don't rate any of my discussion but after seeing my own rating, I guess I'll rate them too. Thanks for participating to my discussions.
