Every morning i see kids going to their school. There are many schools in our locality and we can find parents taking their kids to the school. Few kids will go with their parents and few others will send their kids through some transport. When these kids pass by us, we can hear crying sound. Few kids will be crying on their way to the school. When i see these things, one side i will be laughing and the other side i will think of myself how i used to be when i was a kid.
I used to cry before i could leave to the school. I still remember those days. I will make some reason or the other to stay at home, but when that reason fails, i will start crying. Till the age of 8 i used to cry. How were you?

I don't remember but my mother tells me when I was young I used to cry before going to school. My mom told me that I hide my belongings such as my school belt, my tie,my books anything and then started crying that I don't have ------ thing and I am not going to school. But i remember when I was in 5 th grade I missed my school bus intentially and then returned to home saying mumma my school bus has been missed so I have to come back.Whenever my mom told me this in front of my wife it put a smile on our face

Ha ha ha, even i used to do the same. Thank God i am not yet married. Till this day my mother will remind me of those days when we see kids crying to go to the school. She will especially pinpoint the fact that i used to cry even after i grew up ;P

Crying before school is not uncommon and happens for a number of reasons. The first is that children suffer from separation anxiety and that is a normal part of development. The other reason is out of fear of the unknown. Both resolve themselves if parents are consistent about attendance yet supportive and understanding of their childrens' feelings. I did indeed cry when I was in school, but my mom rarely gave in to me by allowing me to stay home. Instead, she reassured me that she would be there to pick me up every day and she did. Once I realized that I was not being abandoned, I stopped crying.

Well i think more than seperation, the kid will cry because they are going to a place where they dont find anyone of their own. At that age it is very difficult to understand these issues. We will consider going school as a ghost ride. But then it is the parents who convince us to go. Rightly said :)

I did cry my first day at school, my sister was the one who came with me and I kept looking out the window to see if she's still there. I was a crybaby. I used to have a nanny that would come with me to school and then pick me up and whenever she was late in picking me up, I would think that she left me and I'd cry myself out until she arrives. LOL.

Lol, it makes us smile when we hear such things. We ourselves start laughing on us when we think of our small age. On day to day life when we see the present kids doing the same, then it reminds us of our days :)

I may sound like a dork but I never cried for going to school because I loved school. Going to school was much more than learning, it was meeting my friends, eating lunch with them and seeing my crushes. I have really good memories about school and I think it also helped that I did really well in school and the teachers liked me. My brother on the other hand, hated school and would do anything to stay home from school.
