I saw Dhoom 2 last weekend on DVD and have to admit I enjoyed it but not as much as I expected to. I found the first Dhoom rather more entertaining and found that the new Dhoom was rather more focused on the love story between Hrithik and Aish's characters which let the movie down somewhat. I did enjoy the scenes where Hrithik used clever disguises but it reminded me somewhat of The Saint and I felt these parts were lifted directly from The Saint film and earlier series. The international thief aspect of Hrithik's character has been done before and although I'm sure the film will be a box office hit, I personally found it somewhat lacking and was just a bit disappointed. I found the scenes with Bipasha quite annoying both her cop and twin sister characters were not really likeable. Abhishek as always was lovely but I felt more scope could have been given to him, the film was too much into Hrithik's character and activities... I enjoyed watching Aish's character, she reminded me of a sleek and sophisticated Catwoman from the Batman film!
