Both the two browsers are very good and safe to use. But I do prefer opera than mozilla firefox. Mozilla firefox gets slowed and hanged up especially when there are lots of tabs opened. Opera does not slow down. Its speed performance is very good. I am so grateful since using it.
Have a nice day and God speed!

The opposite scene is here and with the majority of the people whenever they use opera the computer gets stuck and hanged. But its a different case for you. But i would advice you to try Mozilla again, because the speed which Mozilla gives you no other browser can give you :)

I have tried opera and it just slowed my computer down way to much and took forever to load with windows xp I am a true believer in firefox it loads much faster and has so many useful addons and have never had it crash with many of updates. I think for some systems opera works better but it has been awhile since I tried it maybe with there upgrades it might be better now, but i will stick with firefox

I am surprised because it is firefox which has a much higher memory imprint and makes the system slow. Opera , in most systems loads much faster. If extensions are installed, Firefox really slows down.

Depends on what you really want: If you want plenty of features right out of the box, with speed and security, it is undoubtedly opera. On the other hand, if you do not mind customizing a browser from its bare bones, and can do without outright speed and know about recent security issues and how to avoid them, Firefox may be your browser of choice. Mind however, that these extensions make firefox even slower (usually) and are a drain on resources, so in the end, Opera out of the box is better in many circumstances. I made a comparison of these browsers a few days ago in my blog http://freewebsoftwarereviews.blogspot.com
In the end, I think Opera wins out, but just barely. Since both are free, try out both.

I tried Opera but I didnt like its layout as much as I did Firefox's. But both have the right idea when it comes to browsers and kick IE!

Firefox is better.......
Opera tends 2 change d format of webpages u open!!
Although its speedy......but creates pblms at tyms!!
Firefox also provides sm kewl addons......n so i really lyk it!!

I think both r good because many times most of sites take too much time to open on firefox and these open fast on opera but many times it reverse with opera. So i think both r good...
