On Sunday night Fox will be starting it's new show "Drive". It's about a cross country road race with a large cash prize. But people aren't just racing for the money, there are other things at stake for many of the characters.
See Fox's official website for more information:

Will you be watching this show? I'm looking forward to seeinghowi t is. It has one of my favorite writers, Tim Minear, and one of my favorite actors, Nathan Fillion. It's also gotten a lot of buzz about some of the new special effects, and use of green screen for the driving scenes.
Will you be checking it out?

I'm looking forward to this show so much. There are so many amazing actors involved, and Tim Minear is amazing. Normally I wouldn't be that interested in the show, but I've seen videos on the Yahoo website and it makes me so excited. The special effects look amazing, and so does the story. And I didn't even realize that Amy Acker is playing Nathan Fillion's wife, until I was looking on IMBd.com to find out who was one of the drivers (and IMDb failed me on that point...made me sad. Guess I'll have to figure who it is tonight)
Strangely enough, I'm watching Buffy season 7 while recording the first episode of Drive tonight. And I'm really hoping that they at least give this show a chance.

I know. And I love when I'm watching another show, and I see Joss-verse characters on it. Like Supernatural. Julie Benz and Amy Acker were both in the first season.

It's funny, car movies or tv shows are generally not my thing. However, the cast and the writers are enough to interest me enough to watch at least the first episode. I really adore Nathan Fillion and it is going to be great to see him on TV again after the cancelation of Firefly. I also love Tim Minear. He's a great writer. I'm hoping that the general writing and potential for good acting is going to make me (and keep me) interested in this show.
Plus, I don't have anything to watch normally on sunday nights, so it's not like I'm going to miss anything that I love.

I adore Nathan too!
I know this Sunday's episode is 2 hours so that should give us some time to get a good taste of it. I wonder if it's going to be one Sunday's going froward, or if it will switch to another night.
Oh, since you are a firefly flan :-), here's a little trivia for you. I saw a clip for the begining of Drive and it has Nathan's character talking to a cop...and that cop...is the same guy who played Jubal Early in Firefly! Creepy! :-)
Here's to hoping it's a good show!

I saw a clip of that on Yahoo, and I was wondering why he looked and sounded so familiar!

Normally, this premise would not be such a draw to me either, but I really like some of the writers and actors involved so I am anxious to see what it's all about. There is also some really good buzz surrounding it.
