I am extremely jealous of my ex-boyfriend. I got him a job where I work after I had been there for about 6 months, but they moved him up to Assistant Manager and I'm still down here at the bottom of the management chain and now I get half as many hours as I did before. I'm trying to tackle the problem by finding another job, but I've been unsuccessful for the past 7 months. The job market is horrible where I live.

Dear hcromer, It is only human to feel like that, but we should learn to overcome such feelings. May be that, he was raised to a higher position because of his own talent - that particular type of talent we may not be possessing. I know, it is very difficult to train our minds to think in a noble way, but one can practice it and thus can be freed from this kind of worries. Think of the situation like this: It was I who was the cause for the high position he enjoys now. He may be feeling very thankful to me! (even if he is not shoing any particular signs of thankfulness you can imagine so -there is no harm in imagining things like this which will bring happiness to our mind). Try to feel proud about your role in his life. This feeling will defenitely make you happy and you will be relieved from the pain that the jealousy creates, sure!! Pls ask more of your friends to respond to this discussion.

I know that such kind of events are happening and people are talking about proffesional jealousy! Who ever does this kind of activity has the basic jealousy in his or her tendency and the application of that is normal for them! Jealousy mostly acts silently and tactfully! So you just forgive and forget about is the best way! Otherwise you will invite jealousy at your door....
