Talking to kids about stranger safety.

I've tried everything I know to teach my oldest son (almost 5) that it's not ok to talk to people he doesn't know without me around. I don't want to freak him out, but I want him to know that it can be dangerous. I've used books, dvds, I don't know what else I can do. HOw do you teach your kids about strangers without making them afraid to talk to anyone new?

My son wont be four until september but i have already started teaching him who he should go to if mummy should ever lose him anywhere and about talking to strangers. By the sounds of it you are doing fine try not to worry to much though and don't show your son to much anxiety when talking about it, but carry on doing what your doing with the books and dvds etc and talking to him about it.
