Do you buy anything on the spot because you like it?
Or do you wait for sales,
shop around
Make sure you really need the article
do you home check out the best make and model before buying
I try to be as wise a shopper as I can be, since I am on a limit income.

I fight hard to not be an impulse shopper. My husband laughs at me because I will put something in my cart and push it all over the store and then not purchase it. LOL I always ask my self "need or want" if the answer is want, I dont purchase it.

I am not an impulse buyers, I seldom buy something on spot just because i like it, I buy somthing whne i really need them, and I will go to different stores to get more information about the product and compare the prices in different stores so that I can make the best purchasing decision which i can get the best product with lowest price. I do not have much money to spend on some luxuries.

Yes, I am definitely an impulse shopper, have been for as long as I can remember. My mom has said; since I was a little girl going to the candy store, that I am not happy unless I'm broke. I beg to differ, but yet I keep proving her right. But the weird thing is, I'm not impulsive about buying typical girlish things, such as clothes. I splurge on food, memberships, subscriptions, and business opportunities.

I try not to buy on impulse. If I have the money and I need the item, I will buy it. But, lately that is not true. Lack of money keeps me from buying anything more than the essentials. This is probably good training for me!

I think I am the mix of both. It depends on what I need, actually. If the stuff is really what I need and am looking for, then I will not wait for sales. If the stuff is only an eye candy then I dont mind waiting for sales. Why should you spend so much fortunes on things you dont really need while you can get it cheaper on sales? :)

Big-time impulse buyer, but I do also like to wait for sales and discounts...
here's what happens with me. I will get to a store for a specific article that is on sale or discounted or something that we really need. When I get there, though, it's an entirely different story. If it's a store like Wal-Mart or Target, I get into the "Oh, while we're here, I need that..." mode... that leads to me grabbing things that I have a "need" for or think that I want...
it's really bad, but I'm working on it a lot. We're setting budgets and spending reports... my wife and I are getting a ton better.

there are times that i am an impulse buyer. this would depend on items which i like to buy. if these are scrapbooking materials, i try to horde it if i have enough money with me :) but if these are other items like clothes, etc. it will have to wait. i limit myself to what i only need and not to what i want.

I am like you, not an impulsive buyer, especially if the item cost more than $10 and I don't really need it urgently. My head and heart will start a debate session and my leg will bring me to more shops to check out if there is a better offer elsewhere. Sales are the only place where I normally do my purchases :P
