How long do germs stay active on paper money & coins???In general, they stay active from a few hours (Viruses) to a few weeks (bacteria). Anyone who handles money should not handle food. Unfortunately, that includes everyone! ....... Simply nasty!

Oh .......You're not just whistling Dixie here! I checked groceries for a while in the city and whew.......! I do believe I saw it all and then something else would turn up! I had no idea all of that was out there. I learned very much. I learned to wash my hands and keep silicone glove lotion on them while exchanging money, etc. Some folks reach into their pockets for money and you don't want to know what all has come out with the money.......I have started gauging( or is it gagging?) NASTY! Yes very NASTY! God's Best! xo

Yeah, I agree. It totally grosses me out! I used to work at a department store and whenever I had to shut down registers for the night, by the time I would finish counting all the money, you could actually see the black dirt on my hands, and I could feel it too. It was so disgusting! I always had to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer at the desk and use it periodically all through the day cause I just felt so dirty handling all the money. I always made sure to wash my hands really well before touching any of my food on lunch break!

Oh money is extremely dirty. It goes from hand to hand. I try to wash my hands several times a day anyhow. Money is one thing that people don't think about how filthy it really is...good discussion
