Seeing the Possibilities - the Most Amazing Instrument - Your Brain

Just read about a man who had lost his glasses and managed without them for a long time.
When he went to an eye-doctor, it became clear(!) that he had barely seen anything for a long time. So how could he make it every day and even drive a car?
His brain was working overtime and put together the blurring pictures and made them clear enough so that he could go on with his normal life!!
If the brain can do interesting things like this, what if many of our difficulties are not outside at all. Maybe it all depends how we react on the problems.
So how could we train our mind to see the opportunities that have been around us all the time?
1 - Write a message on your refrigerator that reminds you to be grateful for what you already have.
This could be the first step.
2 - Write down what you really want and (this is important) find the feeling as if it already is happening right now.
Your subconscious starts working against your goal. You begin to see the opportunities around you.
3- Don´t give up, most of us are programmed to think in a negative way so it will take some time to reprogram us.
Please share with us what has helped you to start thinking positive thoughts?

When positive thoughts start, that means half of the people is really won. However, the same can be said when you start thinking in a negative mind. The fact that the mind is the most powerful weapon that you have, when going right towards success, as the thoughts in your mind will help move you a long way towards whatever success or failure you may in fact have.
So the power of the mind is really strong and will continue to be the greatest thing that you can utilize. There are people who think of things in a narrow, negative view, and that is really the worst, most destructive thing that they can do. So the positive thinking will allow us to really get a lot of things done. It is extremely powerful and will completely enrich our lives.

Thanks, megamatt Many interesting thoughts!
Always looking for positive things will help us a lot. It can be a good thing to count the good things that have happened during the day before we go to sleep.
I have also found, that if we take care of our spiritual and physical health, and get enough sleep, it is easier to think and act in a positive way.

I read something in an "Awake!" magazine many years ago that has stayed with me, and it has helped me be more positive in my conversations.
It said, if you think of some comment, then before you open your mouth, consider "why do I want to say this? What am I hoping to achieve by making this remark?".
I began doing this -- and I still do it. It has the good effect on cutting back on meaningless chatter, and also giving me surprising insights into the working of my own mind as I realise my usually trite motivations for such comments.
What amazes me is that so MANY things I think of saying, when I mull them over a bit and discern my motivation for the comment, aren't worth saying at all. And I remain silent! (Until the next time!)
So I think that simple idea I read many years ago has (by my application of it) helped me to mature, helped me to avoid unhelpful or negative-type remarks, and just generally made me like myself a little more.
I love my mind, and very much appreciate how great it is. Not that I am a big brain-box, just simple things like someone's comment might jog my memory and suddenly I have this clear recollection of something that happened 50 years ago! Such fun :-)

Hi, kiwibee Good to see you! Yeah, we learn from experience, don´t we - and the older we get, the wiser we have a chance to be..
I have used this method too, trying to find something positive in life, and especially when I talk to my friends, avoiding all negativity.
Yes, our mind is a wonderful gift from our Creator and as its capacity will increase in the New World, we will really have something great to look forward to..

Sounds very interesting - I hope you can keep yours sight and find a way to get better. I know it is possible to improve the life quality even with ms. I have two friends who have got a lot of help from food supplements, one of them can walk now instead of sitting in a wheelchair.
