Help, I need to find a good diet . . . FAST!

I have a wedding to go to in a month, or so, and I have to lose fifteen pounds, give or take five pounds. *laugh* I've tried the low carb thing, to no avail--it just grosses me out, having to eat so much meat. Is there anything "safe" that can be done to drop, let's say, ten pounds in that kind of timeframe? I'm so desperate. Help!

Are you really sure you need to lose that much weight? If so, don't starve yourslf. You'll end up not losing anything after you lose all the water weight. I have to say I like Weight Watchers. I did very well with them this past year. I didn't even have to go to any meetings. I went right oneline at weightwatchers.com and signed up. At least you will eat healthy while you are losing weight, but make sure you exercise too so you rev up your metabolism and help you burn more calories. Good luck.

My supervisor swears by Weight Watchers, and it has seemed to work for her, but like anything else, it takes time, which I don't have. To be perfectly honest, I probably don't need to lose as much weight as I say I do, but I want to look good for the photographer, silly as that may sound. I'm not a vane personally, really I'm not, it's just that I want to look back on that day and remember having fun, not being self-conscious. Thank you for the advice, though, it is appreciated!

Hey! I have been doing Weight Watchers and that has really helped me. I lost 4 pounds my first week (which I thought was really good but I have seen other people lose 8 to 10 pounds their first week!!) But I have not only lost weight but also changed my lifestyle. Most diets don't work because the results are not permanent. As soon as you get off the "diet" you gain all your weight back. If you incorporate just a few tips into your daily routine you will lose weight fast and in a healthy way (and the results are permanent!) Thank you, Sheena! Your article is very well-written and easy to follow. I must admit, I have tried a few fad diets and, like you said, the weight always comes back. The key is realizing that it has to be a change of lifestyle, not just diet.

okay, first, dieting is dangerous, and it'll just make you gain more weight, if not immediately, down the road. You want to lose weight, go out to the video store, or anywhere really, and get the DVD set of Turbo Jam. I bought turbo jam, and every time i did the workout (Which is beyond fun!) i lost 2 pounds, i did it 2ice a day usually, at 4lbs a day, i did it for about a week and a half, and never gained the weight back. It doesn't only take off the extra weight, but it really tones your figure, it's amazing, i just love it, and one of these days i'm thinking on taking out my dvds and going at it a couple times a week just for the helluv it, i love it, it feels awesome, and you get the added bonus of losing the weight you don't want.
