Ok folks, I'm sure I'll take all kinds of flak for this one but I feel I should speak out. All this Don Imus stuff is gone way beyong what it should have. Now, don't get me wrong he should not have said what he did...but come on Racist? Sexist maybe but still. What's funny to me is that Don and the girls have met and the girls have accpeted his appology, so why are people like Al Shaprton still harping on this? Further, why is is ok for Rappers to me saying this kind of stuff for over 30 years but when an old white guy says it all of sudden it's racist? Come on folks, what's next?

I agree with you on much of what you say, I don't think that what was said was right and I am glad that he apologized and that he and the "vitims" were able to talk it out and go about there business. I saw on the news today that Al Sharpton, or maybe it was Jesse Jackson, (sorry I usually turn the tv off when wither starts talking) was planning on fighting the rappers because they have for many years used the exact same terms that Imus used. He doesn't feel that is it is right for people in the public eye can speak that way and then when someone of the same race says the same thing can be punished for it. Imus has learned his lesson from his part in the situation and has been forgiven. Now can the rest of us learn from it and either work together to make it better for all or move on and drop it.
