What do you feel when you see a person spitting in a public place, and the worst scenario is in front of you? I see a lot of people doing this, no etiquette at all and very nasty. If they want to spit, it's better to go to a place where no body is around. So do you think this is a bad habit, or just the person has no good manners? I think it's both, and i think there is something else, you decide.
Do you think so?

I agree!! I cannot stand for someone to spit. It's one of my pet-peeves!! My children know better than to spit. They know that it is just totally and completely a NO-NO!! I find it rude, disrespectful and disgusting! Yuck yuck yuck!!!!!!!!

I really dont like to see any person spitting in public because I think it's very inappropriate. A person's spit contain a lot of bacteria and eliminating it in public would expose more people to all the dirt from that person. Here in the Philippines, many people do that and I think it's really disgusting - I hate to say this because it creates a nasty image for my country but that's what's true and that's what I see ON A DAILY BASIS!
I just wish a law could be passed to sanction street spitters.

I know, mostly the youth does that, the smokers and "tambay sa kanto". It is a really bad habit of a person, it's better not show it to everyone that you spit, i know it can't be avoided but at least go to some place where no other person should see you do that.

It's an incredibly disgusting and unnecessary habit. How it became a "cool" thing to do I'll never know. If I was single and a guy who was trying to get me to go out with him spit in front of me unnecessarily the first thing that would pop into my head is "This man has no respect for me or anyone else." I would never look at him twice.
We had a 20 yr old kid at work who spit in front of us all the time when we were outside on break. We asked him very nicely and politely to stop. He apologized and said he wouldn't do it anymore. Next break he was doing it again. We asked again a little more firmly and as we were asking he did it again! It was just so rude and disgusting. So we went to the boss and asked him to have a talk with the kid, he agreed that it was gross. The boss had the talk and nothing changed. He didn't have a job the next day.
Evidently this guy thought that being cool and spitting was more important than keeping his job. Unbelievable.

That's the craziest thinking i ever encountered, Yes i agree it's really unbelievable. He thinks for himself that he is cool when doing that? maybe, in his thinking, but in others its disgusting. It's a bad habit of his and will affect his way of living i think.
