I'm using a pentium 4 3.0 ghz with built-in video. When I power-on the PC, it doesn't display at all, the power indicator just blink. The monitor led just blink yellow also then after 2 secs it goes back to orange. I tried using my 256mb ddr memory card to my neighbor's PC and it display. My motherboard model is intel D915G. Anyone who knows how to do this, please?

i suggest you call the support center where you bought the PC (if within warranty period) or a qualified technician if you may. i think your PC halts at a point after the memory test point in POST (power-on self test; BIOS). probably it failed the video test, so it couldn't proceed further to display.. i hope what your friend is planning to do would work

Yeah, try swapping the power supply. it's easy enough to do. If it works, then get yourself a new power supply. Around her, you can get some ver cheap power supplies which I have used, but the do seem to go out more often. Also if swapping works, and your going to get a new one for yourself, it's always a good idea to buy one with higher watts than the original. If it's a store bought pc, they tend to have underpowered low quality power supplies.
Also by chance is your monitor a LCD monitir? I ask because I have seen that problem on a few pc's and all had LCD monitors.

I have also experienced this kind of a problem sometimes. To solve heres what you do, the solution that i am giving may not be a computer experts advice, but it aleays works for me and on the computers that i have tried.
You know where you computer RAM is, if yes then just take it out and rub on it with a Non-Dust eraser. Do it smoothly and easily. If you have two RAM's then do on both of them separately.
Try this, and i hope that it works for you.
