Favorite new-gen console?

I can only respond about the Wii since that's the only one out of the three we have. Love it! It's great for families, lots of games my kids can play and enjoy. I'd like a ps3 but waiting til it's a little cheaper. Not going to get a 360 probably. Well maybe, but the Elite looks pretty cool, so maybe we'll wait on that. When that is released it should make the prices on the 360 premiums go down loads.

We chose to purchase the Wii primarily as family entertainment. Nintendo seems to cater more towards the children, so that's what we go for. We spend time each week playing games together, and it's something we all, including my 4 year old who actually stands a chance!

Its PS3

the xbox360 and the PS3 are the same as the old systems just with better graphics, not that there is anything wrong with that. Now the Wii is a totally new way of playing video games and that's it's appeal. In the end more PS3's will be sold then any other system and I'll end up owning one but the funniest to play is the Wii although some of the games out for it now seem rushed but they will get better.

According to me The Xbox360 is the Best console. Because it's graphix physics and other gaming activities are totaly awesome.Known during development as Xenon, Xbox 2, Xbox Next or NextBox, the Xbox 360 was conceived in early 2003. In February 2003, planning for the Xenon software platform began, and was headed by Microsoft VP J Allard.[6] That month, Microsoft held an event for 400 developers in Bellevue, Washington, to recruit support for the system. Also that month, Peter Moore, former president of Sega of America, joined Microsoft. On August 12, 2003, ATI signed on to produce the graphic processing unit for the new console, a deal which was publicly announced two days later.[7] The following month, IBM signed on to develop the triple-core CPU for the console.[6] Before the launch of the Xbox 360, several alpha development kits were spotted using Apple's PowerMac G5 hardware. Games running on these were reported to be using 25-30% of the actual system's power.[8] Microsoft chose to use these systems for their PowerPC architecture, which is similar to that of the Xenon CPU used in the system. On October 24, 2005, Microsoft shut down Xbox Live for a day to upgrade it for the Xbox 360.[9]

The obvious choice...XBOX 360!!! Only because thats the only system I have. I have yet to play the wii but I love the ps3 from what I've played.

ps3 ofcourse but its really fun to play wii like in real life :)

Wii - Nintendo has came out with a hit. They really can not be considered in the same bracket at Microsoft or Sony dealing with the current generation of play. They have un-tethered the gamer from a cord and not in the clumsy RF wireless way. They have created movement responses along withe the blue tooth usage. The gaming experiences are in no way similar. They may share similar titles, but play Call Of Duty on the 360 and then pop it in the wii,the experiences are in now way similar except for the fact that the title is the same. There is a completely different learning curve with the wii, then with the other consoles. I would rate 360 over the ps3. But Nintendo is currently in a class of its own right now.
