How are interest groups created?

I would like to create an interest group for a particular genre of comic book, underground comix, but am not sure how to go about doing so. I see groups such as life, movies and people, but nothing quite so specific. I would post what I have to say under general discussion, but I don't think I would get any responses. Please advise!

All you do to create an interest group is type it in under your own interests on your profile. Then the group is automatically created, with you as the only member, unless someone else already started it. Once you do that, and start a discussion there about that topic, anyone who responds to it will get the option of adding that interest!
By the way, what are some underground comix? I'm curious as to what titles would qualify?

I don't know any of these titles, but now I'm definitely curious! Thanks for the info!
I find myself intrigued by things that happened before I was born too. When I was a kid, I often got out the old record player and listened to 60's and 70's music that my father had. =p

Aha, the plot thickens! :)
Underground comix started in the mid to late 1960s. They reflected many political and social issues of the times, one of which was women's liberation. Some titles would be "It Ain' Me Babe," "Dynamite Damsels," "Trina's Women," etc. You may have heard of Robert Crumb. He was one of the forefathers of the movement, helping to create Zap Comix.
I don't know what it is, but the 1960s fascinate me, even though I wasn't around back then. I suppose it was my mother playing the Beatles when I was a baby. :)

i think all you have to do is put the name of the interest you want in the tags line-people should be able to add it to their interests from there after they reply to your thread.
