Some of my customers told me that today is Indian's New Year. Many indian women wear 'Sari'. So, is that today is a new year in the indian calendar. Can anyone explain in details about this? How actually do you celebrate?
Thank you.

Dear Alfonseelric
Today is not Indian's new year. Tomarrow is Vishu. That is the new year of Kerala people. I think Tamil and Kannada people also celeberating their new year tomarrow with different names. In India there are 28 states. They have very different culture and even different languages of their own. In Maharashtra and Gujarat they are celeberating different day as their new year. In Malasia lot of Kerala people working I know. Anyway thanks for wishing new year.

It(today) is not Indians New Year. It is Tamilians new year. Tamilians are from Tamilnadu, the South Indian State.
