Try this one. Get a styrofoam and crash it into pieces. The place them in the street and lets them stand there for 5 minutes. What happens? They get easily blown by the wind. After that you try to retrieve them all and bring them back to its original form. Can you? I guess its hard and you can no longer locate some styrofoam that was blown by the wind. Just like gossip, they can ruin another's life. How? when gossip are spread they easily transfer from one mouth to another and it never returns the way like it was said originally. It is more often destructive or information lacks when gossip are spread.thereby destroying one's life. Just like styrofoam, you can no longer retrieve the gossip that was spread. Do you agree?. So better think twice before saying something to others especially if it wont do any good to others. If there's nothing to say good about a person, better be silent. What are your insights?

I would say you are right on. I have a real problem with those that gossip and will confront them right to their face.
I learned to play guitar about 6 years ago and found that most of the people I play guitar with drink and when they do they start talking about others in a negative way. I don't mind saying good things about others when they are not around, just not crap.
So I told every one that was not acceptable and that it should stop. Well it stopped for a while and then starte again. So one night I just got up and went home. After doing this a couple of times people have stopped gossiping. At least while I am there. :)
