We live in an apartment. Although I don't like not having a yard and having neighbors all around me, I do like that it is a good, well-maintained apartment. It has central heat and air and it's quiet. Also if anything breaks they will come and fix it right away. Also I wouldn't want to own a house that everyone will fight over when I die.
LIVE IN PEACE

Yeah.. Well-maintained apartment... And I would say easy-maintained, too, because you can just call the management office if anything happens.. Thanks for sharing your story, twoey68!

Yes we do own our house, we've been living here since my dad and mom got married.
Our house now is 24years old.
Cheers and have a nice day ahead from Francis.

Well, there's nothing wrong with living in apartment. Its matter of personal choice. And the idea of low maintenance that you don't have to do it yourself is quite attractive actually. Of course the area itself.
When I was single, I want to live in apartement for a change since I always live in a house for as long as I can remember. It didn't happend though. And now I have a family and a daughter and I still live in a house with a garden that belongs to my husband parent. It is more than 100 years old and I'm happy with it.

It's true.. It is a personal choice. I, too, had always lived in a house for as long as I could remember. Well, of course, it's my parents' house. But when I was in college and was 'forced' to live in an apartment, I actually found it very convenient. I loved it!! For because I am single right now, my dream place would also be an apartment..especially in Singapore where land space is very limited. =) I might still change my mind later on when I have kids and all that, but since I am planning to work even after marriage, I could see that apartment is easier to live in than a house.. =) Again, things might change in the future, we'll never know... But yeah, I do prefer an apartment/condo even if I have a house as an option as well.. =)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, apakabar2007! =)

We own a two bedroom apartment in a house with twelve flats. We are on the third and top floor. We like it here very much. 20 minutes by metro from the town centre - 10 min by car. still we are right by the woods, the beach, wast lawns and play grounds.

Thank you for your opinion. I think that for me now, apartment or condo is the best for me because I like to live by myself... It's not too big, not too small, not too many things to get done, like I don't need to mow the lawn, or if the toilet bursts, I can just call the management.. Hee hee.. =) I would probably change my mind later when I have my own family... But thanks for your response!! =)

I am currently purchasing my own house. For years I have rented apartmeants but decided that it would be better to have a house. I wanted a large back yard because I have three small children, they needed room to play. We also have three dogs that in an apartment we wouldn't have been allowed to have.

Hmm... I guess that I have never thought of backyards for the children... I have always wanted to own an apartment or condo in the future because you would have less work to do, you know... But I guess, with children, small back yard wouldn't hurt!! =) Thanks for your response, KissThis! =)
