Has sachin lived too long on his reputation ?

Hi Guys, this is what i feel..Iam a big fan for sachin but with comparing his present form with his previous ones he is underperforming and not plaing to his potential.
There is still a possibility of his comeback , but he persist with that consistency...he is no doubt a great player , a great inspiration but what really matters is winning the game and iam sure there he has lost himself to be a part of that.
Players should not lose their natural instincts and sachin lost his aggressiveness and now he is more defensive which may lead to his downfall..Despite all his reasons for injury i feel he is not that good now to play for another four years and its better to decide himself that may be for another 2 years.

He used to be devastating player in the past but for the past 4 to 5 years he is not playing like he used to play in the early 90s, he has got lots of issues like injuries to deal with and did not perform well at all these days. We could actually number the games won because of his performance very recently but he still managed to be in the team just because of his past icon-like stature in india.

The main thing lacking in sachin is the ability to perfrom under pressure. I dont know somehow he needs to overcome that else he has to suffer the pain again. How long he could stay with his reputation ?

yes i didnt see a agressive sachin in the recnt past.As you said injuries are playing a major x-factor in himself.Iam sure he will get rid of that tangle and we shall see the normal agressive sachin back.

Ya sachin lived too long reputation, he is known as master blaster and is a very good player also, but now his performance is not good, he is not able to come back to his postion, is had been a inspiration for the other players in the world, any team will appreciate sachin for his records in his careers, but as per me he had played enough cricket and should get retire, but it is upto him, weather to play or not, but he should perform well if he is playing, or else it will affect the team, there are lot of fans for him in india and all over the world, but he should decide soon, and he should not be over confident. if he still wants to play, he should be a master blaster, and he may play for another 1 or 2 years. but still a great player,

Yes i agree with you completely..He should announce his retirement now and that should be for the next year...There is no point in dragging thr decision because its not going to help anyone in the side...Four youngstaers can fit his place as it is easy to rorate youngsters rather than a player like sachin even when he got out of form.

Well now sachin is 33 but he started his career at the age of sixteen..and now he has played 17 years of non-stop cricket ..He has played over 350 onedayers and i think at this stage its difficult for him to continue for long time in both versions of the game

Sachin's reputation is highly inflated.Sure he looks good when he bats but he hasn't parlayed that into results. If you think about the role he played , you can always name someone ahead of him. He played 8 tests last yar and just scored one fifty in them. Now thats a bad year for any batsman and for sachin's high standards that is worst.

Yes. He's leaving too much on his reputation. I am also a great fan of Sachin but what is more important is our country, India. We have to put our country ahead of anyone else. Sachin has to realise this. If he wants to play for India (even we want him too) he has to get back his form. Team India cannot suffer because our great players are no more performing like they use to. Hope he realises this and works on his batting and make an impact again.

Correctly said ! I dont believe on statistics which never show exactly what the match situation was. Many times i seriously wonder if those mind-boggling stats do help in any way to uplift the team's performance. sachin recently failed to rise to the occasion and stand up when it mattered most. He left him team stranded many times when the team desperately needed his performance but he failed many times which we never anticipate from the world's best batsman if he really is.
