is it me, or are job applications getting longer and wanting more private information?i also feel that if employers were required to provide the same information to prospective employees, then, they (the employers)would greatly reduce the information required from prospective employees.i mean i would like to know if who i might work for is a scum bag.i think every employer(who ever is the head person of the company)should have to give up any information that they require from anyone else.i would love to know my employers history-hobbies-address for last 15 years-schools went to-credit report-drivers license copy-social security number-criminal background-personal references-job history and then subject them to a drug test, just to make sure the employer is worth working for.just ask any employer to provide you that same info from them that they get from you and they will look at you like an idiot.i am from the school of "an even swap aint no swindle"who else feels that to much personal info that has nothing to do with the job is required on job applications now days? and do you think it would be fair to require employers to provide the prospective employee the same information?

I don't think employers should have to give up their personal information, but I do agree that job applications can ask for a lot of personal information and it's rather annoying. I despise filling out applications because I never know half of the information they want as it is! It's especially annoying when applying for a minimum wage job! Not worth the time and hassle almost..

but why is it so wrong to require employers to hand over the information they require from prospective employee's.i gaurantee you if that was the case employment applications would get alot shorter and want lees information.my whole point is fairness, dont ask me for something you-yourself are not willing to do.why do you feel it is wrong for employers to be required to provide the same information that they want from employees??
