I bought this laptop from a friend who also get it from his former boss. Everything is fine except that the settings of the Pccillin internet security is so strict blocking games, job search and a lot of normal sites. I could not change the settings because it is password protected and nobody knows of the password anymore. I would like to know if there is a way to trash this Pccillin out of my laptop so that I could install a new one. Please help me...

Have you tried to just uninstall it? It might work, I think. Just replace it with another similar program.

Just had a look around in the windows registry to try and uninstall a password protected installation of Trend Micro Internet Security 2005 and found that if you delete the key
'HKLM\software\trendmicro\pc-cillin\system' then you can uninstall without a password. Hope this helps someone.

I suggest you go to an expert on this. Even if you get advice from here (unless the advice is coming from a professional computer tech), you still have to consult someone who's used to doing this. Sorry if I may be not of help to you. My only suggestion is to seek a computer technician who would fix your problem right away. Happy myLotting, friend!

I guess the only solution is if Trend micro answer you back with a solution.I checked their FAQ page ,but found nothing helpful.Perhaps you will hear from them tomorrow .This being a sunday the support staff might be off.I have used pccillin in the past and I didn't like them.I'd suggest you switch to AVG.It works great with a good firewall.

If i were you i'd rather uninstall it and try to find other internet security than pc-cillin! It really sucks sometimes it lags my computer and never respond for a long time! I think it would be kaspersky is better than pc-cillin. Though, maybe its a big investment to change internet security but this is also for your own good. (This is just my opinion)
How do you think about that?

I agree with the suggestions to just reformat the harddisk and start from scratch. This way you can control what you need to install on your laptop. I was hoping you have a Windox XP OS or whatever OS you had.
Another solutions is to delete the program and it's shortcut manually from you hard drive. It will not be a clean uninstall but at least you get rid of it. I hope this help.
