Will you ever get married for the wrong reasons? What if you accidentally made her pregnant? What will be your reason in marrying her is it because she's already pregnant or just because you simply love her?

for a culture that thrives in status quo, marriage is a solution to save a family from disgrace. but if you take a look at the essence of what marriage is, it is sacred in context. it is a union of two individuals where they become as one. love and commitment is what binds a couple in marriage.
you don't label making someone pregnant as "accident". that is quite a stupid, immature excuse, for we all know that both of you made that conscious decision to make-out somewhere, unless you raped her. (im not sure if you are referring to yourself here.) no one can force someone to marry against his will. but he has an obligation to fulfill to the child and her mother. no one can just run away from the crime scene and not pay dearly for it.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just like you I also think that getting her pregnant still cannot be labeled as an accident. It's always a two way thing. If you really are a man, definitely you wont run from any of your obligations .

I don't think marriage is the answer to everything. Marriage is not an answer, for me, it's a step, a step to another kind of relationship. For me it should be a sacred union, not another ritual you go through just because you accidentally knocked up someone. I would only get married for one reason alone...Love. I would marry because I love the guy and I want to spend the rest of my life with him and start a family of our own.
