I have never buy anything from ebay, but I have started selling items since 2 days ago. I am quite excited now! Do you sell on Ebay? What do you sell? How often you involve in this auction business? How's the profit sound? Or, you buy from Ebay, what do you usually buy, and what are the things that you will NEVER buy from Ebay? Let's discuss the pro and con about doing business with EBAY.

I have been on eBay since it started, always a Buyer until 2 years ago when I start selling. When I first started I sold fur coats, they were so beautiful, I would buy them at a discount since I lived on the eastcoast there were very reasonable and would sell them on eBay, always made a profit, until about 6 mos ago when sales on furs just went down so much I stopped. I kept what inventory I had left and cut my losses, so to speak. Now I sell event tickets for somebody else on eBay, my profit is 25% per ticket sales plus they pay my Paypal and eBay fees, not bad, I made $300 for selling 4 tickets, so I feel the profit margin might be good if I could start selling more. I like eBay it gives me the ability to work from home and make money, not many businesses like that out there. Good luck with yours, what do you sell?

I think ebay is great so I sell and buy. I have not made much money from selling but I save a lot from buying. It is a great site. I just buy very strange things that I am wanting at the time from earphones to an external computer hard drive. Buying: Pro Cheap Con You can get conned Selling: Pro Easy Con You can make very little money sometimes.

I am selling on ebay from 2004.. I really like ebay.. I am registered on ebay India as I am in India. I many times purchase items too through ebay. I feel really secured while paying for items through ebay because there is a system like if a seller won't send u the item then u can open -- item not received dispute and can claim your money. I always pay through Paisa Pay service of Ebay India which also provides money back protection.

Good to hear that! I guess online business or cyberpreneurs are pretty well developed in India.

Wow! I'm way out of my league with eBay sellers here! I just sell the occasional thing on eBay...usually presents that I don't want! I sell stuff that I haven't used around my apartment. I buy the occasional item on eBay, but I am pretty cautious. I definitely sell more than I buy.

I LOVE ebay! I buy and sell on there all the time. I just sell things from around my house or things I catch on sale at stores that I think will sell. Sometimes I don't do too well and sometimes I do. I can make at least $200 a month depending on what I have to sell and how hard I work on it. :) I also buy from ebay. My kids get a lot of clothing off ebay and so do me and my husband. I will also buy home decorations and things like that.

Sound very intersting lifestyle. When you sell the sales item from stores, is most of your customer from your country as well?

Me too, I love Ebay. I'm both a seller and a buyer. I've already bought lots of stuff from ebay. I bought like 6 watches, 2 perfumes, a cell phone and lots of other stuff. You could save a lot buying from Ebay. I've also sold some old pocket books on Ebay. It's really fun. Right now I'm trying to sell some old toys of my nephew. I suggest that you just buy regular items from Ebay, not the big stuff like laptops or anything fancy. When I bought my cell phone I was really worried that it won't reach me or that it would get lost in the mail, it was a LOT of worrying and I told myself next time if I'm going to spend a lot of money, I'd just better buy in a regular store so that I don't have to worry about the item reaching me or not. A tip: Always look at the sellers feedback.

Wow, great tips. I've been selling some household item, and am thinking to switch to higher priced item like digital camera and handphone when I have more ratings. Initially I thought buyer shouldn't have to worry too much on the missing shipment part. Most seller will offer registered posting or refund/exchange if the shipment is missing.
