Few months ago, i apply a master study in several universities in europe. i have been rejected from 2 of them. one is KTH in stockholm, they don't give me a clear explanation why i was rejected. the other is in oldenberg germany, but i like to read the rejection letter. this is what they say: Until January 15th 2007 over 150 applications to participate in this programme. A commision considered each applications carefully and came out with the conclusion that many applicants were well quallified, and many of them have a respective professional experience already. also it was noticed that a quite number of young professional with a really a promising academical background were lacking professional experience in relevant subject could not be selected. Actually it was recommended that these applicants are encouraged to apply again after obtain a higher professional expertise. This kind of letter makes want to continue my study more. What do you think?

European universities are the most difficult to enter especially to those who is not from the European countries. It is difficult to join them because they mostly need the applicant to know how to speak in their language which is one of the exam for the applicant to join them. The best thing about European universities are mostly they are fees free. Once I got the offer from Oulu University in Finland for my master research degree but unfortunately my mother did not let me go that far. What happen to me after that is doing my master research here in my country now and I have already got the offer for my Phd in this university and one is from New Zealand.

Not every countries in europe require their language, like netherland, denmark, finland, norway, sweden, etc. They need a proof of english proficiency like TOEFL or IELTS. I have TOEFL. My score is 223 (213 = 550). Well this score is quite adequate for many universities. WOW you got Phd, well i'm thinking of continuing my study until phd too.;)

I think that no matter how many rejection letters you get, you need to keep putting applications in. It sounds as if they would like to see you take the step of working in your field with the degree you have before moving on to a higher degree...kind of like starting at the bottom of the ladder and working your way up. Maybe the key is to be job hunting for something in your field right now..even if it isn't the job that you would prefer to have. With some experience under your belt, maybe Oldenberg will accept you next year :) If not, keep sending applications to other schools. You'll get accepted somewhere eventually.

Well thanks simplysue. i planning to apply some more, but i can't apply in US, beside the tuition fee is s high, they need GRE too. If there are still some college that only required TOEFL, i will apply there. Thanks again
