Yes, You can definitely connect a mouse to a laptop and do that digital art that you always wanted to do. All you need is a USB port present on your laptop iand you can connect your mouse to it directly Or you might want a converter , one end of which goes to the laptop's USB port and the other to a mouse with a PS2 port. Its easy and simple
Connect and Have Fun!

if you put a mouse and a cat together, the cat will be chasing the mouse and thats for faster internet access. lol. can you now imagine if you add the dog?

Yes. But, a the normal mouse that u use on a Desktop is a "Serial Mouse"....... and u cannot connect it to a Laptop. For Laptop you require a "USB Mouse"

I love to do edit pictures myself and I'm finding it too hard on my right hand. I have a Mac and when I went to the Mac store I saw that instead of a mouse, I can actually get a tablet that connects to the USB the same way as the mouse. Since we are so used to using pens and if you're doing digital art which I can only assume takes a long time to do, using a mouse can also be stressful to your hand. I'm sure there is also a tablet attachment available for the kind of laptop that you're using. Good luck on your hobby and your search for a mouse!
BTW, you also need to check the compatibility of the mouse and your laptop.
