If it was me who were going to have a six year old girl come on vacation at my house, I would make sure that I had a lot of crayons, beeds, paper, colored paper, and everything else that you can use for crafts.
I would also check online to see, if there are any special childrens events in my area. Some of them might even be free. Check your local YMCA, library, local churses, schools, parks and museums. You can usually find a lot of information in your local newspaper.
Do you have any friends with children her age? Maybe you can go to the park together.
I do not know what the weather is like where you live, but if it rains a lot I would definitely emphasize getting a lot of crafts stuff, and take out some of good age appropriate books at the library, and maybe a movie or two.
Kids this age really love when you sit down and engage in what they are doing, make pearl necklaces etc., or do those little bead patterns, that you can find in the toy stores.
I personally think that kids this age are a bit too young to use the Internet, and when they do you probably have to be nearby, as she might not know what to do. You can check out www.pbs.com and www.disney.com, for some great age appropriate sites.
I hope that both of you have a great time.
