Alex Ferguson says the Premiership is the best league in the world - is he right? On a poll started by Eurosport.com, 63% of the voters agree with Sir Alex Ferguson. The next leagues are La Liga (20%) and Serie A (11%).

Thank you for your response. It is what I expected as answers when I started this discussion: what league you like most because of the game's quality not because of the results the teams from that league achieve in international competitions

I do agree that the Premiership is the best in the world. Its played at the highest tempo and thats the kind of football i enjoy watching, plus their is less diving and cheating in the Premiership than spain and italy.

football means business in EPL .But we could find much more competition in Serie-A or La Liga..I like Serie-A because Ac milan is playing there. If you don't agree with me just look out for the number of UEFA champions playing in England..Only few there. While its more in Serie-A

I don't like football game. I think it is not interested to see some people struggle for a ball. But lots of my friends love football game, and they all have their own loved football league. I'm from China, my country football team is too bad to see. I know the football association pay much more attention to football team, but there is no better about it.

I have always thought the Premiership is most entertaining and this season has only enforced that view Although saying that, La Liga this season has been very good (thanks mainly to a well-known englishman) 1: Prem 2: La Liga 3: Serie A

I agree with Alex Ferguson , after all England was the country where soccer started , they have many well-known teams that play good quality football ...as for the players ...top form. Some of the best players in the world played in Premiership and some of them still play don't forget that they have 3 teams out of four in this CL season and that is one important thing.

ferguson is correct.. epl is the best league in the world.. because it is very tough.. serie A is fun good as well but a little boring because most italian teams play defensive...

I agreed with Sir Alex Ferguson that the best league in the world is Premiership because this league has a lot of great teams. Beside that the tempo of football game in the premiership is really fast atracting audience to watch the game.

Alex Furguson is a well-known and experienced man in the field of football. I also agree with him although I don't watch the Premiership too much. England is the home of Football. It is normal to watch great teams and world known players compete against each other. This is the case in the Premiership. It has been like that for some time now, all I can say is some things never change :P

I'm more attached to the English Premiership (supporting Man Utd), but I do have a favorite team in the Serie A: Juventus Torino. I also cheer for FC Barcelona from the Spanish League.

Match-wise, the Premiership is entertaining enough. But c'mon, only two teams vying for the top prize? Not much of a competition there though.. Presentation wise, Premiership is ahead than the rest. I said it that way because i've enjoyed a Serie A and La Liga match over satellite on match value alone which means, theres only the match to concentrate on! Visibility wise, the premiership seems to occupy more space on the sports section of the local news where i'm from. So that means the premiership is ahead in terms of generating interest and awareness. Plus it has the most tie-ins with locals businesses with deals in telecommunications and airline companies. So i guess maybe the statement is'nt that far fetched..
