Id like to know if there is a breed that is ok to pair with a dalmatian and still get good mix breed results.

You really want to perpetuate more mixed breed dogs into an already over dog populated world? Sorry, but that's a really dumb idea. You breed a purebred quality Dalmatian to a purebred quality Dalmatian or you get them fixed and don't breed them at all.
Also because Dals are known for tons of genetic defects you really have to go and get certain things checked out before you ever breed one or you'll have a litter of deaf puppies or puppies who will die of heart defects before their time. So since you're planning to breed mixed breeds (which if the Dal is affected, will STILL get these defects.. hybrid vigour is a load of bull -- ask any geneticist) and you won't be able to sell mutt puppies for much of anything you'd actually go broke if you did the responsible thing and tested the dog for everything that might be a problem. Doesn't seem worth it, does it?
It's sad, but it's people that have that mindset that are the reason for a overload of homeless dogs in shelters.

A mutts a mutt a mutt. It dosnt matter what you breed it with, the results are going to be a mixed bag. Good mix/bad mix noone can tell, unless you have done extensive research into the bloodlines. So whatever you breed it with the pups will be anyones guess.

i had a half dalmation/half black lab and he looked like a purebread pointer. He was a beautiful dog, he was really big though. I'd stay with breeds in the same "group" as dalmations to get a good looking mix.
