Is the information we get in school enough to become an educated person or we need much more than that ? Express your opinion . . .

I felt I first have to keep learning new technology in my career field to be competent. Therefore when I lost my job, I could find a new one using my enriched knowledge and experience. Further I have to learn a little practical finance, including the operation of bank account, loan, investment, etc.
We learned basic and specialty knowledge from school but seldom could find enough education on how to make money and deal with money. In addition, the society is changing everyday and new tech is appearing every day. I would say most of us have to keep learning to be able to say, "I am an educated person".

I believe school education is important, but it's not enough. That's why we have to have experience of the real world as well. Experience will groom our emotion. In addition to that, I honestly believe, spiritual plays an important role for our development. That's why nowadays we heard a lot about EQ (Emotional Quotient) and SQ (Spiritual Quotient), apart from the IQ (Intelligence Quotient) alone.
Some said:
* IQ alone will create a smart person without heart for others.
* IQ and EQ alone might create a smart dictator or corruptor
* SQ alone might create a hermit (no social life), and
so.. (as you might guess..)
* a combination of IQ, EQ, and SQ will create a complete human.
Just my 2 cents..:-)

We really need much more than that . Schools do not teahc us to learn for ourselves . They do not teahc us the ability to learn neq things with ease . Thgey do not develop an open mind to learnning . They do not teach us the value of an open mind .
They suppess questions for the fear of answering them beacuse teahcers do not hav the answers and they want to save their face in front of students . Any question out of the curriculum is looked at like a source of waste of time .
Schools realy need to have a look at themselvces in the mirror .
Schools should be the manufacturing machines of abdul kalams and isaac newtons .
But they are producing average minds to uninterested to explore the world around and add anything new to it .
They are working just to maximise their own profits .
If schools were to entertain a true spirit of questioning in students we would have progressed much more han we have .
If everyone asked a few question eeveryday and searched for their answers we would have many more things in life .
