The facility, in the Delta state, will increase by 15 percent electric power generated from natural gas. The plant responds to the "Zero Gas Flaring" programme pursued by the nigerian government and by Eni to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from flaring natural gas associated with crude oil pumped from oilfields.
