For this to be a proper riddle, I think you need to put the answer in the question.
For example:
"You will find the answer to this question startling, there is a nine letter word..."
Then the person just needs to realise the trick which makes it more of a riddle instead of a challenge that requires lots of time looking in a dictionary.

I'm really struggling with this.
If you only take letters from the left and you end up with an I the nine letter word must end with an I and I haven't found many of those so far.
I've found a few such as: culturati, eucalypti and fettucini but as soon as you take the first letter off they are no longer words.

Actually i eamil your answers to my friend and all are wrong, he said you only omit letters only from its left side.

I guess it's not that surprising that there is more than one answer to this question - the English language has a lot of words!

Oh man I can't answer it too.. my friend gave it to me, he doesn't answer back yet.
