i really love ebay, i consider one of the best sites in the whole web, an excellent staff, really present, fast and smooth transactions, I have used in the last months to buy twice some herbal stuff from UK but coming from India factory, a pair of nike shoes for my wife from Italy and other goods i don't remember at the moment. All of them were really good purchases, i have not yet found a bad purchase on ebay...bye

My Son bought a car of there and I was bit angry with him
He Paid £1200 for this Car G reg ok it is a nice car soft top and all these Cons on it but he has since buying it paid out another £800 to get it on the Road if not more so you can image I was not happy with him lol

I think E-bay is great, but for sure it is more of a buyers marked than a sellers market.
Which means you can get some very good deals on Ebay.
I normally sell and the only item I ever bought was a book and I was quite happy with it.

Yes, I have sold loads of my old junk on e-bay. Trouble is I still kept buying stuff that I'd come across, seeing it as "useful" I would then often think, "what did I buy this for?" and put it on ebay and would often make a profit!
Think I've sold around about £3,000 for stuff that otherwise would have found it's way to the council dump.
Best purchase was £50 for a mobile phone in the shops for £150 and whatsmore it had a spare battery with it. Best sale was just under £300 for some video equipment that I had only ever used about twice and cost me £50 second-hand.

Ebay is ok for some ppl but on the whole it is buyer beware. I have made some purchases on Ebay most were good but i did have a few that were not so good.
I bought a single CD but it was never shipped I had all the proof that i won the bidding and the proof that i paid in full but the seller never sent it. I did get my money back after i threatened to contact legal ..........I ended up getting the CD from someone else and the other person was banned from selling.
The good is some times the seller is so good they will go out of their way to treat you well and I did have a few of them...........BUT like i said Buyer beware........

I haven't bought anything on e-Bay for awhile, but that place can get addictive---they really do have a bit of everything there and lots of times for so much cheaper...I'm actually hoping to become a seller there myself of my craft items I make but in the meantime found another place similar but fo those who just want to buy/sell crafts...You really can get great bargains though! At e-bay that is---and sometimes hard to find items...like I did study a bit of French in college, so for some reason I was having a fit...I just had to get a Harry Potter book in french..don't ask why...to buy at some of the book seller websites that sell them, one book can be about $50.oo!! At e-bay I got the first THREE Harry Potter books for about $20...and yes, I do plan to read them..a great way to learn a language

I have friends who are big into the whole ebay thing. I myself have never bought or sold anything through them. I think it serves a good purpose though.

My room mate is the E Bay expert-so this is from a witness- he helped me sell things on ebay for top dollar, I made a real nice profit. We've both bought and sold- with excellant results all around. Here's the thing: read the feedback and BTW- you can get very involved information there. For instance- suppose you want to buy a large item- the feedback is all positive- but go to the next step- check what it is feedback for- the item, when it was sold etc. If the dealer has been selling solid gold jewelry and doing well, is now sellling a used clothess dryer- it may not be a good purchase. Get my drift? We bought a school bus on ebay- that is fabulous. And a pick up truck- and I just ordered a Microsoft word program-I've sold jewelry, pottery, books, and collectibles with a great profit. but months of researching the site preceded our doing any transactions.
I read in a magazine about a family that lives debt free. They bought eve4rything including their house on ebay. It can be done. But you have to really read all the information ebay makes available. Happy shopping!
