I think we shall probably go on and on in this general humdrum sort of way. But there again... Maybe there will be this "great enlightenment" - an idea as old as when human-kind started to think.
However, there is only now, the past is no more, the future isn't yet. End of the earth - all physical things begin, stay for a greater or lesser amount of time and then die. Nothing ever disappears though, it transforms into something else - (like a smashed-up world?)
The essence of who we are on the other hand is a different kettle of fish. I mean I can't remember my "I" beginning, can you?:-)
Kettle of fish! Who ever put fish in a kettle? LOL

i too agree with you, we can not comprehend anything outside of our own experience. For me, as human beings i think we find it impossible to envision such concepts as nothing, infinity or indeed any concept that does not place the human being in a central place. In my opinion this is a massive desuign fault as it limits our capability.
Hehehe yes a kettle of fish had me puzzled too. Actually a fish kettle is a steaming tin for cooking fish in. Each fish has its own type of kettle. Consequently a different kettle of fish meant a different dish altogether
blessed be

No,i even can't think at this problem...
We will not end never!!I am optimistic and i am sure we will learn from our mistake...and i just hope humanity will find a way to go when the sun will be too old to keep us alive here...
Talking with my boyfriend he is worried we broken all the rule in our play with the earth, and he said that dinosaurus(which was a perfect survivor) just live and enjoy the life and still our earth killed them but we are infinity more mean and we will pay for this...
But you know what?I am the type which see light in all no matter what, and i am sure the end is far far far...and i don't have imagination(and i don't want to even use)for this...

As for me I have no fear at all if this is the moment life on earth vanishes. Why fear the end of the universe when me,you and all our kith and kin perish together . It is really wonderful . Isn't it ?

I believe that it will be a cumulation of things such as warfare, global warming and other pollution related problems, and natural disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis.

GREAT TOPIC !!!!!!!!!!
Well with all our problems in the earth today how could you not think that the end of the Earth won't happen. Just look at Global Polution in every aspect. You can't tell me that all the Carbon Monoxide were pumping into the air is not going to affect us ???? Summers are getting Hotter.......Average summer temp in Austraila backin 1969 was 72 degrees and now it is well over 100. Winters are colder in places where there use to be NO Winter before
We are looking at a global breakdown in our climate and we can see it in our very lives. We are dooming our own planet.........God help us all
