I am in the US and the salary of my first job was $25,000 per year. I make close to $30,000 now but it's still not enough for the life we live. We have gotten used to a lot of small luxuries and things so I am working on my Master's now to hopefully get a better job in a few months.

My very first job, minimum wage was $1.65, I was 14. Can you imagine? But then everything was way cheaper then, rent, groceries, and gas was way cheaper!

My first job was a typist-encoder for Bustos-Villafuerte and Associates law office. There we were paid depending upon the quantity of work that we've done correctly, by page. I earned an average of P600.00 per day which amounts to more or less 12,000.00 per month. That's a really big income here in the Philippines for a typist-encoder. It was more than enough for our needs but the job is really tiring. Well, I gave up the job when they decided to lessen the pay.
