Do you mylot everyday or just occassionally? I usually get on here 4-6 days a week. I try to atleast answer 5-10 discussions when I do come on, and sometimes I actually thing of a topic to start a discussion. If I have the day off from work, I usually respond to more discussions, and might start a couple extra discussions. It always surprised me when I see mylotters who have only been here half the time I have been, and have triple the posts I do! How do you find the time?

I usually mylot everyday. It might only be three discussions I answer on one day. But I am used to seeing money added so I have to at least do some. My goal is 20 a day. Some days I do more some less. So it usually evens out. I think I'm gonna shoot for 30 to 40 a day. I would love to see a buck a day added to my account or even more. There are so many people here now. There are plenty of discussions plus you can answer news reports and blogs and get paid for those as well.

Well I'm on mylot every day. I'm also here most of the day even though I do other things. I'm not able to work outside the house so I need to find ways to make money on line and so I'm here to do that. I'm very active because of that. At least here no one complains if I have to get up or have to lay down in the middle of the day. No one cares if I smell of bengay or if I'm a bit sleepy due to pain meds. It works out well for me. Still looking for other ways to make money but so far mylot has been the best.

Readers Digest had some sites that they suggested in their last issue that you can make some extra money on if you have time to devote to them.

I am virtually the same as you. I think some of these people don't actually respond back to their discussions or they put really short answers as responses. Have a look at their rating star and you'll see a lot of them don't have very high ones. I prefer to plod along and hopefully get the min payout each month and get some advice or make a friend along the way!!

I've only hit payout once. Some days I do good, but if I have to work, I get behind on my discussions. So I just plod along too, getting done what I can!

HaHa, i Love the way it has come down to the line:
"Do you mylot everyday"
Its not do you log onto mylot, or contribute to mylot, its just mylot. I feel that mylot has become such a cult site. Although i feel that the majority of people on the site are here for the money i truly believe if they were suddenly to take that away many people would surprise themselves by still signing on and contributing to discussions. That is simply due to the fact that myLot offers so many different points of view on so many different topics from different angles. It has a myriad of countries involved and people seem to have the courage to open up on the most personal of issues to people they have never and probably never will meet. That is a truly remarkable thing when you look at it from outside the box. Sure the most popular discussions center around making money but there is also so much out there who are more interested in life matters.
ROCK ON MYLOT!!!
we all know its true.

So True! I know I have answered discussions and started discussions that I would never had talked to anyone about. It is so nice to get so many different points of views!

This is the first hour that I am on myLot and I must say, I am impressed with the online community on this website. It's also a plus that there are rewards for shared knowledge and opinions. I have the same question as gypsylady28 has, how do you find the time? I've already jumped on so many topics that I am interested in!!! I think I'm going to start out a browser and end up being hooked, responding and reading daily. But to read every one's insightful responses....

At the moment I'm on myLot every day although sometimes it might only be for 10 or 15 minutes if I'm busy. I go through phases with it though - I sometimes don't post for weeks at a time because I have too many other things to do or I'm just bored with it. This has happened a few times as you can tell from my number of posts - I joined 7 months ago and there are users that joined the same time as me that are on 5000+ posts by now. At the moment I'm enjoying it though.

I am on the computer from 7 or so in the morning. Until about 3 or 4. I don't only do Mylot, I have freelance work I am going for, emails to tend to, blogs to enter, articles to write, entries for Mylot of about 40 or so a day and then surveys and friends at sites. I also do housework in between and homeschool the kids. So while I am busy, the way I organize let me keep up with almost everything. I also sell on Ebay and half.com. So good luck in setting goals and reaching them. I am on dial up and can do this. So can you though not be so busy like me.

You do all that and you're on dial up? I am impressed!
To answer the original question, I am new and have only been here since Wednesday, but have been on every day so far. I think I am getting addicted to mylot.com.

I often wonder how some people manage so many posts as well! It seems as though some people have a lot of free time on their hands!
I try & come on to myLot every day but it's only usually for an hour so 2 a night after my daughter has gone to bed. I never really reply to too many discussions & have only started 5 or 6 myself. I think i spend most of my time just reading what other people are talking about & will only add in my 2 cents if i have an opinion about a certain topic.
I would like to be able to start a few more discussions but i never know what to talk about!

I have the same problem, sometimes I can think of something to start a conversation, but most of the time I can't.

I try to get on to myLot each day, but some days it just isn't possible. When I am on myLot, I try to answer at leasat 20 posts and start 1-2 discussions. Some days I just can't be creative and think of a discussion. Also some days I don't get close to the 20 posts due to time constraints. It is so hard when you work and have a family.

I usually only come in on weekdays and skip the weekends as I am usually too busy with family stuff. It's kinda quiet around the house right now which is why I am on today, but it won't be for long...LOL

i think i'm in the minority here....i'm an occasional mylotter. i will stay away for a week or 10 days then i'll be on every day for a lil bit then i'll disappear again for 2 weeks...it just depends on what's going on in my life, how busy i am, how conversational i feel, and how active my favorite message boards actually are. this weekend my usual chatter places are down so i'm on my lot :)
for me mylot isn't about the money, but rather the communication. so if i'm feeling rather quiet then i have no reason to be here.

For the past 5 days I've been on myLot for some times, about 2 hours per day I think. I try to keep my post long so that I can get credited. I view myLot as a Yahoo Answers and whenever I have a question about something I can just log in here and find it. But honestly, I'm here for the money and if myLot doesn't hold up their end of the bargain then I'm out.
